    Mitihani ni kigezo kimojawapo kitumikacho katika kupima uelewa wa mwanafunzi. Mitihani imekuwa ikifanyika toka mwanafunzi toka mwanafunzi yuko ngazi za awali(std one) hadi anafika chuo kikuu. Mitihani imekuwa ikiwasaidia sana wazazi na walimu kujua uwezo wa watoto/wanafunzi wao kupitia ufaulu wao japo si kweli kuwa mwanafunzi akifeli basi hajui au akifaulu anajua sana. Hivi sasa maarifa kwa wanafunzi walio wengi yanapungua kwa kuwa wamekua wakisoma kwa ajili ya kufaulu mitihani tu(cramming). Chukulia mfano wa chuo kikuu kwa nini wasibuni njia mbadala ya kupima uuelewa wa wanavyuo wao na kuachana na dhana ya kutumia mitihani? Ni njia zipi mbadala ungeshauri zitumike hasa katika ngazi ya chuo kikuu katika kupima uelewa wa wanaosoma huko?

    ndo mana huwa kuna theory na practical! Practical means kwenda field kupractice ulichosoma darasani kutokana na kitu ulichospecialize! Sometimes cramming helps meeen! Ukifkiria kuna vitu kama supp na disco,,cramming inakuwa mpango mzima!

    Kweli inafika mahala umegraduate then hujui ht umesoma nini, sababu unasomea mitihani tu, but we need to change. wenzetu yaani developed countries wanachofanya mwanafunzi anapewa assignment then anaifanya kwa kutumia any topic of interest on that field/subject yaani lecturer anatoa mwongozo tu then wanafunzi wanafanya anyhow according to experience or kama anataka kujifunza anything new. nafikiri inasaidia, na kwa sababu mwanafunzi atakuwa ameamua anataka kujifunza nini so ita stick in mind.

    Nashukuru sana wana jm forum kwa mjadala huu unaohusu mitihani . Tatizo la usomaji wa cramming kwaajiri ya mitihani ni sugu sana hapa tz lakini wanaochangia ni wote wanaotunga mitihani na wasomaji (wanafunzi wa ngazi husika). kama mtu anafundisha (lecturer) then anatunga mtihani ambao sio competence based but ni content based then wanafunzi husika watajibu mtihani ule kwa kutumia past papers zake na madesa yake lakini kama anatunga mitihani ambayo inapima uelewa wa mwanafunzi then no problem. Vilevile wanachuo au wanafunzi waamke na wasome kwa lengo la kuelewa na sio kwa lengo la kujibia mitihani hiki ndicho kinacho fanyika hata kwa wenzetu mamton
