    WanaJF,

'Milk' in Swahili - nitasema 'maziwa'
'Breasts' in Swahili - nitasema 'matiti' au 'maziwa'

Kwa sababu neno milk linatafsiri kamili, yaani maziwa; basi naomba mnisaidie kujua matumizi fasaha ya neno la Kiswahili linalo maanisha 'breasts'.

    Akhsanteni.

    SteveD.

Mfano mwanamke ana matiti halafu hayo matiti yana chuchu ambazo ndio zinatoa maziwa maranyingi wakati amejifungua mtoto.

Tusikie zaidi kutoka kwa wanaJF wengine.

    Bel.

    SteveD,

Try http://africanlanguages.com/swahili/; for "matiti or titi" I got breasts or nipples while for "maziwa I got milk. Using "maziwa" to mean "matiti" is a kind of street language or a word used by people from a specific area. Language experts have the right terminologies for such words.

Upo sahihi kabisa mkuu.

Ila huwezi kutumia neno matiti ukimaanisha maziwa. (My Milk is standing)

    Naomba kuwakilisha

(Draw into the mouth by creating a practical vacuum in the mouth).

Endelea kutupa maswali tujaribu kuimarishi Lugha niipendayo.
