Inabidi akacheki kama ana uvimbe kwenye mji wa uzazi (Fibroids)...moja ya dalili zake ni pain during menstruation ikiambatana na Heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia). Pia kuna wengine huexperience Pain during sex. Other symptoms are abdominal pain or pressure, changes in bladder and bowel patterns and, in some cases, infertility.

It is better to get checked from a gynacoelogist to rule out the right thing!!

    Hope nimesaidia kidogo

Myoma ni kama tumour na Fibroids ni uvimbe tu...

Myoma is worse zipo aina 2

    * The leiomyoma occurs in the skin or gut but the common form is the uterine fibroid.
    * Rhabdomyomas are rare tumors of muscles, they occur in childhood and often become malignant.

    Nimekujibu?

Mara nyingi maumivu haya yanapotea mwanamke anapopata mtoto, ikiwa hakuna complication zozote which is possible kitakachomsaidia ni dawa za kutuliza maumivu tu hadi hapo atakapopata mtoto then ataona mabadiliko no pain ...not proffessional just from experiance. I know how you feel mimi nilikuwa silali baba ndio ukubwa huo.honestly mwanzo nilifikiri anadeka mpaka nilipopata somo.vumilia kaka.

Sahiba you are right. Nilikuwa na tatizoi hilo sana wakati wa usichana wangu. Kilichonisaidia ni baada ya kujifungua likaisha sasa hivi hata sijui maumivu wakati wa hedhi.

For the time being kima hana dalili ulizoorodhesha, atumie dawa za kutuliza maumivu

pole, she's not alone, wengine tunakuwa wagonjwa kabisa. unapatwa na nausea na huna raha. Tell her ajaribu painkillers, indocid works very well for me, pia akiwa nyumbani atumie hot water bottle it relieves the pain. ajitie shughuli pia sleeping makes it more painful!

Cha muhimu pia amuone Gyna afanyiwe scans etc kubaini kama ana uvimbe (fibroids etc), hayo ya maumivu kupungua baada ya kupata mtoto huwa nayasikia pia.. may be u shd try it out.. ama una mpango gani naye?????cha kufia nini zaeni mwenzako angalua apumnzike!

If your periods have changed, it's very important to see your doctor. There are a number of diseases which can cause heavy bleeding (see list below). The doctor will investigate possible causes and offer the appropriate treatment. But in about half the women with heavy bleeding, no cause can be found.

Some causes of heavy menstrual bleeding

Unexplained - for half of all cases no cause can be found.

Contraceptive coil (IUD) - the coil can cause heavier, longer periods.

Injectable contraception (Depo Provera) - can cause heavy or prolonged bleeding.

    Pelvic disorders:
Fibroids - these benign (not cancerous) growths in the muscular wall of the uterus are a common cause of heavy bleeding.
Polyps - these benign growths of the lining of the uterus may cause heavy bleeding but more commonly lead to spotting between or after periods.
Pelvic inflammatory disease - an infection in the reproductive tract which can cause infertility and chronic pain if untreated.
Endometriosis - a painful condition in which the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus.
Endometrial hyperplasia - thickening of the lining of the uterus, leading to heavier bleeding.
Endometrial cancer - cancer of the lining of the uterus, causing heavy periods, bleeding between periods and blood-stained vaginal discharge. Rare, but more common in women after the menopause.

    Blood and hormonal conditions:
Hormone imbalances - can stop ovulation (egg release) leading to build-up of endometrium and heavier periods.
Hypothyroidism - an underactive thyroid gland can cause heavier periods.
    Blood clotting disorders.
    Use of anticoagulant drugs.
The menstrual cycle is affected by stress. If you are going through any kind of life crisis, it is possible that your periods may settle down once that crisis has been resolved. Meanwhile reassurance from your doctor that there is nothing seriously wrong may help you to accept this change as a common and usually temporary response to stress. For many women, however, there is no easy solution to the stress in their lives. If this is the case, you will need to decide whether you want treatment for your heavy bleeding.

In all cases, the first step to take is to visit your GP and explain that your periods have changed. Once your doctor and/or gynaecologist have carried out the preliminary tests described in the next section, and you have been given the medical all clear, what happens next will largely depend on how you feel about your heavy bleeding.

Pill to end period pain: Drug that brings relief for millions of sufferers could be available by 2010

A drug that could free women from the misery of period pain has been devised by scientists. The 'hot water bottle in a pill' is designed to tackle the cause of the crippling cramps that plague up to 90 per cent of young and middle-aged women each month.
Taken ahead of a woman's period, it could prevent the pain.

Alternatively, it could be taken when required, easing pain when it hits. Likely to be prescription only, the drug could be on the market in just four years. Its inventors at Southampton-based drug firm Vantia Therapeutics said that they are confident it will work better than any of the drugs or treatments currently available.

Period pain, or dysmenorrhea, blights the life of between 45 and 90 per cent of women of child-bearing age and is the leading cause of absenteeism from school and work in women in their teens and 20s.

The pain is caused by the womb contracting during a period.

The new drug reduces levels of vasopressin, the hormone controlling the movement of the womb's muscles. Preliminary tests on a small group of women showed it to be safe, with no side- effects, an American Chemical Society conference in California heard.

A larger trial on more than 100 British and American women with bad period pain is already under way and the results are due later this year. If the drug fulfils its promise, it could earn Vantia a large chunk of the £600million-plus spent on period pain relief each year around the world.

Current treatments range from powerful painkillers and versions of the Pill, to relaxation techniques and hot water bottles.

But some tackle the symptoms rather than the cause, others cause upset stomachs or mood swings, and none work for all.

Vantia scientist Andrzej Batt said: 'We hope that the drug will provide a more effective treatment option for millions of women worldwide with this painful condition.

'Dysmenorrhea not only diminishes the quality of life for millions of women but also has a hidden, society-wide economic cost that involves an enormous number of days lost from work and school.'

    Oily fish 'prevents endemetriosis'
Eating plenty of oily fish can protect against endometriosis, a cause of infertility which may affect two million British women, say researchers.

A study of more than 70,000 nurses found that those who ate the most tuna, salmon, mackerel and other foods high in omega-3 fatty acids were 22 per cent less likely to develop the painful condition.

But those whose diets were laden with harmful trans fats found in thousands of products from cakes and biscuits to pies and chips were 48 per cent more at risk, according to the findings published online in Human Reproduction.
