Njia tatu mkimaanisha three lanes?

hizi njia tatu zilikuwa zinachanganya sana hata kama zinasaidia kupunguza congestion wakati wa peak hours!
Kwamba zimeondolewa is news to me.Na kwanini zitumike kwa mawaziri na wengine walioteuliwa? kwani watu wengine hawana haraka? Huwa inaniudhi sana niko kwenye traffic jam halafu inakuja gari ya serikali au jeshi inavunja sheria za barabara na kupita kama vile wengine hamna haraka.
 
Sheria za namna ya kutumia barabara zinapashwa kuzingatia viwango vya kimataifa. Dereva anayeendesha gari Dar anaweza akawa ametokea Kenya, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Afrika ya Kusini au Botswana, siku hiyo hiyo. Sasa akikumbana na barabara ya lane mbili ambayo inatumika kama njia tatu atawezaje kujua kinachoendelea?

Mawaziri wetu ni kama wale viongozi wa “Shamba La Wanyama” Wamejaa tabia ya kujipendelea wao. Waonapo kujazana magari barabarani, akili yao inawatuma kufikiria namna ya kujikwamua wao, sio namna ya kukwamua taifa zima.

Yako matatizo ya msingi kwenye sekta zote. Mama wa matatizo hayo ya msingi ni tatizo sugu la Tanzania, ambalo ni uongozi mbaya.

We must stop concentrating on the consequences of our problems and look instead at their root causes. It is the incompetent and corrupt CCM government. As long as Tanzanians do not consign CCM to the opposition benches, they will continue to suffer from all kinds of problems.

Hawa wanajua how traffic lights should be designed, security lamps and installation of CCTV cameras along the road. Binafsi nadhani Tanzania swala la kuwa na CCTV barabarani, taa za barabarani, na traffic light zakisasa kwa ajili ya kuongozea magari pamoja na watembea kwa miguu si kipaumbele. Nasema hivi kwakuwa hakuna design inayofanyika ikazingatia mambo haya.

Wao wananunua na wewe huna uwezo wa kupanua barabara/ labda mwisho watu wahame mjini na kuwe barabara tu kama ambavyo nasikia Kansas City.

Kuhusu kuanzisha tram kwa Dar nakuhakikishia haiwezekani. Kwa lugha nyingine huo mradi hauwezi kuwa feasible. Kwanza umeme inao tumia tram ni mkubwa sana bongo umeme kwa ajiri ya matumizi ya nyumbani tu hautoshi. Pili gharama in terms of capital cost and operation cost ni kubwa sana. Nadhani point yako ya park and ride ni muhimu sana kwa mazingira ya sasa ikiambatana na kujenga guided bus ways.

Madereva wasioelewa njia usababisha foleni kwani kila sekunde huwa imepigiwa mahesabu. Ndiyo maana alama za barabarani kama ni nyingi na zinaonekana wazi basi hufanya drivers wasipotee na kuanza kubabaika na hapo kuanza kuongeza msululu wa barabarani usio na mpango.

Koba hii nimeshasema ni field ya watu na ni ngumu sana na inahitaji uzoefu. Ndiyo maana hata mie nasema naweza kufanya vitu elementary kwa miji ya Tanzania ila kwenye miji mikubwa wala siwezi kunusa pua yangu.

Also don’t get me wrong, traffic and transport planning isn’t an easy subject as most people think kwamba ni kujenga barabara tuu and kufanya magari yapite, ni mambo mengi you need to consider and most the times its hard to get right as there is externalities that you cant control such as travel behavior influences.

Issues of land use, car ownership, travel behavior, other type of available infrastructure and most important strategic planning of transport and other associated sectors such as environment, land-use and economy are also important to understand and link together. Also remember that traffic/transport activities have huge diverse impacts than any other human socio-economic activity (well if you forget for a second about energy issues).

For my opinion, congestion in our country will only improve once our central government commits to adopt sustainable development principles and commit to form strategic planning policies. One of the things that Tanzania has to think is a issue of Promoting Multi model transport system and stop the culture of predict and provide.

Simulation modelling isnt only to predict what will happen when traffic lights zikianza kufanya kazi, bali pia inasaidia kujua junction interaction as well as validate ITS.

In addition kuna kitu kinaitwa micro-simulation modelling, hii inasaidia multi-model na pia inaweza ikasaidia kustudy impacts of developments, and impacts of proposed strategic plans and even public transport scheme like bus priorities and pedestrian safety etc.

I am not sure kama Tanzania inatumia ii technology maana can save alot of money wasted kujenga vitu ambazo havisaidii kitu.. pia siko sure kama we are really good in obtaining traffic data and keeping records

Ulichosema ni kweli na nilishaandika hapa mara kibao kuwa traffic engineering ni kitu kigumu sana na kinahitaji uwe na kipaji na uzoefu. Tatizo kubwa la hii kitu ni kuwa ukitaka kupanua barabara, inabidi kuvunja nyumba. Sasa tuseme uvunje nyumba zote za mbele kutoka Buguruni hadi clock tower Poster ili kupisha ujenzi wa barabara yenye lanes 4. Hiyo fidia utakayotakiwa kulipa itakufanya uchanganyikiwe. Wakati mwingine inakuwa hata heri uanze kufikiri kujenga Metro kuliko kulipa fidia.

Watu wengi wakiulizwa wakati unasoma, unataka kudesign barabara mjini au nje ya mji, jibu rahisi ni nje ya mji. Sababu kubwa ni kukimbia mahesabu ya programs za traffic light, eneo la kujidai ni dogo sana, mabomba ya maji, gas, simu, umeme, nk yanayopita chini huna ni kikwazo kingine kikubwa sana. Kuna cable nyngine inabidi uwasubiri hadi waje usalama wa taifa, sasa watakuja lini, hiyo ni juu yao. Kwa kweli hii kitu inaumiza kichwa.
Inabidi kuanza kutoa shule kwa madereva wa Tanzania upya ili waweze kuendesha kwa usahihi zaidi na hivyo kupunguza ajali na msongamano usio na maana unaosababishwa na ugeni wa alama za barabarani na kutokuwa wamejiandaa na msongamano mkubwa wa barabarani.

Juu ya RINGS, hizi huwa ni muhimu sana. Mfano mtu anatoka Airport na anakwenda Mbezi beach (Tegeta), inabidi aje hadi Buguruni, Mwenge na ndiyo aanze kwenda moja kwa moja Tegeta. Kama kungelijengwa ring kama ya Mandela Roads, basi anaingie kwenye barabara yake na kuacha kuleta foleni zisitakiwa Buguruni. Hii ingeliweza hadi kuunganisha Kigamboni au Dege Beach. Ingia kwenye Google Earth kama hujawahi kufika Paris na utaziona ingawa wenyeji wa pale wanasema hazijasaidia kitu. Ila zisingelikuwepo......

Hata kama barabara zikipanuliwa haitasaidia kitu kama hamna inititives za kusaidia kupunguza car ownership and to promote other means of transport like railway as well as public transport. Although nipo na wewe kusema kwamba barabara zetu zinaitaji kuwa na connections to reduce time to travel from one place to another and yes we need orbital motorways around cities in Tanzania especial to reduce amount of HGV around residential areas.

Ila before hatujaanza kupromote these motorways, maybe it is important to look at initiatives that will help the country to have good public transport and get them out of the cars (well this is what we can do to reduce impacts of transport in the first place).

Government can save money kama wakianza kuangalia jinsi ya kumake best use of existing infrastructures kama vile railway network to introduce high speed trains which will save dar-es-salaam city (high speed trains comes with different version don’t have to be electric only). Dar-es-Salaam City is well covered with railway network both in the eastnorth and southwest. So all is needed is to modified then and add train stations so that can be used as urban trains. ( I understand this might seem to be expensive option, and it is even impossible to avoid sunk cost, however it has a lot of benefit in longer term such as it can help in developing other towns as well as socio-economic developments.)

Tanzania should learn from developed countries were once upon time, increase road capacity was seen to be only solution to reduce congestion and where are they now? Struggling for their mistake and they use multibillions dollars/Euro and Pounds to correct!

Hapo tupo wote kabisa mkuu. Ila huwezi kuingiza hizi njia za chuma pekee bila ya kuweka baraara mbili tatu. Hizi njia za chuma zina faida kubwa sanasana ila matatizo yake makubwa ni makelele. Unaweza hata kujenga barabara ya chuma yenye kuruhusu kupitisha magari juu kama mabasi, gari za wagonjwa na hao Mawaziri wetu wanaojipenda wao zaidi kuliko wananchi. Njia za chuma si tu kuleta makelele ila inabidi kuziba kabisa barabara maana hili halina mchezo. Pia mitetemeko inayotokea wakati linapita huwa ni tatizo jingine.
Juu ya umeme ni kweli kabisa haihitaji kutumia trams/train za umeme tu. Miaka ya 90 niliona bus likitembea juu ya reli. Wao Waswidi wanasema bus ila ni kama Trams na mabehewa kama menne hivi. Si tofauti sana na TGV la Wafaransa ila sema TGV ni refu sana na linatumia umeme. Hili bus lilikuwa linaendeshwa kwa kutumia mafuta na ukiwa nje unaona na moshi unavyotoka. Hapo naona hamna ubishi wa kusubiri umeme wa Tanzania utakaokuja siku RA akitaka.

Tatizo ya njia za chuma pia ni aghali sana. Mabehewa na vichwa vya train ni aghali sana na hivi inabidi serikali yetu ishughulikie. Ila uzuri wa barabara ni kuwa zitaenda hadi kwenye vichochoro na magari ni mali za watu wenyewe. Pia siyo siri, kuendesha gari kuna raha yake na hapo ndipo wanasema kuwa kama Civil Engineer, inabidi ujue kubalance kati ya kutunza mazingira, uchumi, ..... na kuwapa watu raha ya kuishi kwa kuwa na gari. Maana kama wapenda mziki, siyo siri kuwa kuna raha kama unakwenda na ndani ya gari lako King Kong anatesa kwenye ma-sub-woofer yako, na kama siye wapenzi wa Rumba, basi ni kasheshe tupu. Mhhhh, zile drums za Marehemu Lucky Dube bwana, zinafurahisha sana kwenye spika nzuri.

Tanzania nasikia ndiyo kwanza wameanza kulipa kipaumbele hili swala. Kutokana na Morani75? ni kuwa sasa hivi kuna vijana wako shule kwa ajili ya mambo haya. I hope wakija watawasikiliza maoni yao maana vinginevyo kama wanasiasa na wandishi wa habari watashindwa kuelewana nao, basi itakuwa tumepoteza muda na pesa tu. Mungu ibariki Tanzania.

very true.........future-Tanzania.......kuna mahala nilisema.....kuongeza miundombinu (barabara) solve only 30-40% of transport pbs........hiyo 60-70% inakuwa solved na most of the issues ulizozisema hapo awali.......

Mara nyingi vijana wanaosoma nje, huwa kuna ka uhuru ka kuandika kazi yako ya mwisho kwenye field unayoitaka. Kama serikali yetu ingelikuwa makini basi hizo data muhimu zingelikuwa zikiwekwa na kijana anakuja na kazi tuseme ya Masters katika traffic Eng. na anataka kui-optimise kipande cha barabara kutka hapa Kindondoni kwenye mataa hadi Mwenge. Wanampa ramani, mipaka na masharti yao yote na kijana anafanya kazi yake yamwisho bila kujali yuko Tanzania au nje ya Tanzania. Faida yake ni kuwa akimaliza hiyo kazi, atakuwa katumia mawazo ya hao mapromotor wake na ya kwake na kuwa kafanya kazi kwa nchi yake ambayo ingelibidi serikali iajiri watu wengine.

Kwa kutofuatilia hili, unashangaa wanafanya kazi kwa nchi wanazosomea na kuwanufaisha hao jamaa ingawa kijana anasomeshwa kwa hela ya Tanzania.
Hata hivyo Mkuu Ogah, uzuri mmoja ni kuwa tumeshagundua makosa yetu na tumeanza kuliongelea hili na si kama zamani ambapo wala hatujui kama lipo. Taratibu tutafika tu. F-T asante kwa shule yako. Ngoja niwahi sokoni jamani, tutaonana jioni.

True true gari linaraha yake, na ndipo hapa politicians wanapotugeukaga hata huku wakati wa campain za uchaguzi maana wananchi hawataki mambo ya congestion charges etc.

Ila at the same time, watanzania inabidi tuanze kuanderstand the need to balance economic developments na starehe zetu especial people who classify themself kama rich and not working classs. kwenye developed country utakuta mawaziri wanatumia public transport bila maringo ila sasa Tz ata company director anajiona ni mkuu wa nchi.

Coming back to this issue ya congestion.. research zinaonyesha kwamba ukiwapa watu good public tranzport and other alternatives to road transport wengi hawamind kushift mode of transport. Ila kama sasa TZ hamna option than ur own car utafanya nini? Pia kumbuka railway transport haina issues ya congestion (though it can also happen where all trains terminate ila this has no direct impacts to the economy or anything like that)

Pia nimengundua kitu kimoja Tanzania hamna Transport assessment or any kind of PROPER prestudy. I even doubt if we are using any modelling tools to study what we want to do before hand. Ndio maana ata MR EL aliamka asubui akasema njia tatu sijui alifikiri atapata kura! lol
 
Ule usemi wa wahenga usemao SUBIRA YAVUTA HERI umedhihirika kwa wakazi wa Dar,baada ya Kampuni ya ujenzi ya MAC Construction kuanza mchakato wa kutathimini idadi ya magari yanayotumia barabara ya Ally Hassan Mwinyi na ile ya New Bagamoyo kwa kipindi cha asubuhi hadi jioni kuanzia jana tarehe 14/04/2009 hadi kesho 16/04/2009.Kwa wakazi wa Dar wanaotumia barabara hizo mbili wameshuhudia kwenye makutano ya Sam Nujoma Mwenge,Shekilango Bamaga,Kajenge Sayansi na Kawawa Morocco kuna vijana waliovaa visibau vinavyong'aa (Reflectors). Akihojiwa na Bonge wa Power Breakfast kiongozi wao alisema kuwa wapo katika mchakato wa kuongeza barabara hiyo kutoka Morocco hadi Tegeta kuwa ya njia nne. Hakika hii itakuwa faraja kwa wakazi wa Dar ambao wamekuwa wakipoteza muda mwingi barabarani.
 
Habari Nzuri - I only have so many doubts na hii miradi ya Barabara! That could be only "the road to 2010"
 
Bado idea za kujenga barabara ardhini bado zipo tu? najua watawavunjia nyumba watu wengi sana mwaka huu. Kwa nini wasigeukie sky-overs? yaani mabarabara ya angani juu kwa juu. kunawatu tunapenda kuishi angani labda wakati wa kuzikwa tu ndo tutashuka chini

ila pengine wangekuwa na plans za tunels au hata wabuni njia za baharini kwa wanaotoka maeneo ya kunduchi n.k. Kimbembe ni kwamba wanafikiria kujenga au kuongeza barabara za kuingiza magari city centre. Huu ni uhuni wa kitaalam ambao unapaswa kukosolewa na kuja na suluhisho makini.
