A 35-year-old man, who raped his 27-year-old girlfriend after accusing her of having an affair was arrested on Saturday (today) morning, police said late Saturday afternoon.
"The man raped his girlfriend on Friday after he accused her of sleeping with other men. She was taken to hospital and reported the incident to police," said Inspector Aubrey Moopeloa.
The man is being held at the Sharpville police station and would be appearing in the Vereeniging Magistrate's Court on Monday.
