    Jamani tujifunze,
mimi nimefanya kazi alla the way na MySQL pekee. Sijawahi tumia zingine zote ingawa nina PGS installed. Naomba kwa waliotumia zingine watuambie kuna tofauti gani technically.

Just administration .

I found Oracle kuwa tricky hata kwenye installtions . Uki uosea installtion ya oracle ukarudia inaweza kuathiri installtion nyingine. Nimeona kuna mtu anauliza mambo ya control file kwenye thread file nikakumbuka once nilijidanganya kuwa nikiuninstall na kuinstall upya Oracle basi mambo yatakuwa safi kumbe duh. I rember i spent masaa kadhaa tu kwenye kutroubleshoot installation.

i wanna do oracle now. Oracle wanna 'corleone' us really bad, somtyn is nt ryt with these guyz.

I think, in enterprise world. Its MSSQL vs Oracle.

    I LOVE MySQL! :mwaaah:

Kuna comands nyingine ambazo hata hazimo kwenye ANSI stand or SQL 1992 zimekuwa implimentated na specific DBMS.

Utofauti mwingine ni capacity of server engine.

asante wandugu wote ambao mmechangia so far!

Ningependa kujua zile non ANSI commands zinavyokuwa implemented ktk DBMS nyingine.

+1 for redSilverDog, i love MySQL. I hope oracle won't kill that petty RDBMS

In short nilipata matatizo kurun AS400 queries.

it is like comparing a ferrari with a fiat. You can do that. To understand the differences you must know the database theory. Oracle (mysql belongs to oracle by the way) supports the best concurrency algorithms, the best storage engines, the best query optimizers etc. MySQL is just free and good for what it is made for.
And all in all about Oracle is user friendly a layman can use it while mySQl is used by professionals
