    Tatizo

Watu wengi wanapenda kusikia sifa nzuri tu sijui utaanzia wapi kumwambia mtu piga mswaki vizuri tumia mouth wash za mint asubuhi na jioni. Khaaaa inakera sana.

Sijui wenzangu nyinyi kama mna experience the same difficulties

Ninaye mmoja ofisini kwangu.

    Haswaaa! Peruzi hapa:

What Are the Causes of Bad Breath or Mouth Odor?
    By Melissa Lind

Bad breath, also known as halitosis, is a condition that will affect most adults at one time or another and can have obvious causes such as poor oral hygiene or dry mouth. Other people may have chronic halitosis, which can be caused by a number of diseases including not only more serious dental problems but also medical conditions such as organ failure, digestive disorders and infections.

    Dental Causes
The most obvious cause of bad breath is poor oral hygiene. Trapped food particles around and in between the teeth remain behind, collecting bacteria and contributing to bad breath. Plaque from bacterial food breakdown collects on the teeth and on the tongue. Daily brushing and flossing including brushing the tongue will help to eliminate this obvious source of bad breath. Poor oral hygiene can contribute to the development of gingivitis, cavities and periodontal disease and worsening of the halitosis. Chronic mouth odor from cavities or periodontal disease warrants attention from a dentist.

    Respiratory Causes
Respiratory conditions such as allergies and respiratory infections may cause bad breath. Allergies and allergy medications may cause one to sleep with the mouth open at night, drying out the oral membranes. Dry mouth is a frequent cause of halitosis. Sinus infections produce drainage that may have a foul odor when draining down the throat and upon exhalation. Bronchial, lung and throat infections may also cause a foul odor from sputum. Any type of infection should be treated by a physician.

    Chronic Diseases
Some types of cancers and other metabolic conditions can cause foul odor to be emitted from the lungs and mouth. Kidney disease may cause bad breath that smells of ammonia and urea, similar to the smell of urine. Liver failure may cause a fishy odor, and diabetics are known to have fruity smelling breath, which may be unpleasant due to ketoacidosis. Chronic stomach ulcers or gastroesophageal reflux may also cause bad breath. Any of these conditions are reason to seek medical assistance.

    Lifestyle Issues
Behaviors such as smoking and consumption of alcohol, coffee or pungent foods may be a cause of halitosis. Smoking and alcohol have obviously characteristic odors, but both also can dry out the mouth and contribute to periodontal disease. Coffee contributes to an acidic environment in the mouth leading to bacterial growth. Coffee is also a known diuretic which will contribute to dry mouth. Pungent foods such as onions or garlic and other foods that create gas contain phytochemicals which are absorbed into the body and expelled from the lungs for as much as 72 hours.
