    Pistachio zina uwezo wa kupambana na seli zinazosababisha kensa na zinaweza kuzuia seli zisiharibiwe na radikali huru na kusababisha saratani. Hayo yameelezwa na watafiti wa Ujerumani ambao wameshauri kwamba, kula pistachio kila siku kunaweza kupunguza hatari ya kupata kensa kwa kuongeza uzalishaji wa mada iitwayo gamma-tocopherol mwilini.


    Suala hilo limeongezewa mashiko na uchunguzi mwingine wa Marekani ambao umesema kwamba, pistachio zina kiwango kikubwa cha gamma-tocopherol mada ambayo inatokana na Vitamin E inayoulinda mwili usipate satarani.


    Pistachio ambazo zamani zilikuwa zikiliwa tu na familia tajiri hivi sasa baada ya watu kujua umuhimu wake wa kiafya zinaliwa na watu wote na wataalamu wa afya wameshauri watu wazitumie kwa wingi hasa kama (snack) asusa au kumbwe kwa Kiswahili sanifu.


    Zaidi ya faida hiyo iliyotajwa hapo juu, nyungu hizo zenye mvuto wa kipekee na ladha tamu zina madini ya Copper, Phosporus, Pottassium, Megnesium, na vitamin B6.


    Pistachio pia zimejaa ufumwele (fiber) na kama unatafuta snack yenye ufumwele wa kutosha uwapo kazini au safarini basi usisahau kubeba paketi ya pistachio.


    Kama hutaki kula vitu vyenye protini inayotokana na nyama, basi pistachio ndio jawabu lako kwani zitakupatia protini ya kutosha inayotokana na mimea.

    Pistachio pia zina mada ya caratenoids lutein na zeaxanthi ambazo husaidia kupunguza hatari ya kupata upofu wa uzeeni.

    Pistachio pia zina sterols inayotokana na mimea ambayo inaaminiwa kuwa hupunguza ufyonzaji wa cholestrol inayotakana na chakula. Hivi sasa sterols inayotokana na mimea huongezwa katika vyakula kutokana na faida yake hiyo.

    Ili kukuwezesha mdau kula pistachio na kufaidika na lishe hiyo, kona ya afya inashauri uzitengeneza na kuzila kwa mitindo ifuatayo:

    Weka pistachio zilizopondwa au kukatwa katwa katika mtindi au cream cheese.

    Weka pistachio katika skonsi, vileja na hata keki.

    Jitahidi mara nne kwa wiki uwe umekula njugu 30 au gramu 18 za pistachio.

    Pistachio zisizokuwa na chumvi zinaweza kuliwa pamoja na vyakula kwa wale wasiokula nyama.

    nimeipenda hii hasa ulipotumia kiswahili sanifu kwa misamiati makini kama ufumwele,kumbwe ila kuna wakati umeweka maneno kama kensa,skonsi wakati kuna mbadala wa maneno hayo!

    njugu wewe hujuwi? Ahhh Mtu wa wapi hapo Tanzania? Tanzania kunalimwa njugu karibu kila sehemu njugu ni tunaweza kusema ni Karanga Bado hujazielewa mkuu?
