    KATIKA kusaidia sekta ya elimu nchini, kampuni ya vifaa vya elektroniki ya Dell ipo mbioni kusambaza kompyuta milioni moja kwa wanafunzi nchini ili kupunguza matumizi ya madaftari na vitabu.

    Meneja wa fedha wa Dell, Kanda ya Afrika ya Kati na Magharibi, Alwin Thankachan, alibainisha hayo jana jijini Dar es Salaam, wakati wa uzinduzi wa wakala wa bidhaa za kampuni yake nchini ambao umepewa kampuni ya Mitsumi.

    Kampuni ya Mitsumi pia imepewa uwakala wa bidhaa za kampuni ya vifaa vya elektroniki ya Toshiba ya nchini Japan ambayo kwa pamoja na Dell watasambaza bidhaa zao kupitia Mistumi zikiwemo kompyuta, vifaa vya studio, betri na vifaa mashine ya kuhifadhia umeme (Power Sever) vya Dell na Toshiba.

    Thankachan aliyezungumza kwa kupokezana na meneja mkuu wa Mitsumi, Hitesh Shah ,alisema Dell kupitia kampuni ya Mitsumi inajipanga kuzungumza na serikali, Benki ya Dunia (WB) na wadau wengine ili kuwezesha mradi huo kuanza. "Kenya upo mradi kama huo unaendelea, tunasambaza kompyuta milioni moja kwa wanafunzi kusaidia sekta ya elimu, ikiwa ni mradi wa Benki ya Dunia," alisema Thankachan. Naye meneja mkuu wa Mitsumi, Hitesh Shah alisema,

    "Tunajipanga kuzungumza na serikali, serikali ikiruhusu, mradi huo utaanza katika kipindi kisichozidi miezi sita ijayo." Kuhusu biashara Hitesh alisema kampuni inafanya kazi katika nchi 12 tofauti baadhi zikiwa Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Hongkong na kuwa nia yake ni kuwawezesha

    Watanzania kuondokana na bidhaa bandia katika sekta hiyo zinazoathiri wateja na uchumi wa taifa, na kwamba wateja watakaonunua bidhaa za kampuni hizo kupitia Mitsumi watafanyiwa matengenezo bure. Akizungumzia Jumuia ya Afrika Mashariki, Hitesh alisema hatua hiyo ni ishara njema kwa wapenda maendeleo na kuwa itakuza biashara na uchumi wa nchi husika. Mwisho

    wana jf, ni mara ya kwanza kuingia na kuchangia hoja, huu mpango ni mzuri ila nahisi utawanufaisha wachache hususani shule za mijini ambapo hata walimu wao wanajua computer za vijijini ambao kiswahili kinatumika ila kiluga ndo zaidi itakuwaje?

    Mkuu wangu hizo kampuni zikisambaza Komputa utakuta kwamba thamani yake halisi ni dollar 300 kwa moja lakini tutauziwa kwa dollar 1,000 kila moja. Pamoja na kwamba ni mkopo wa Benki kuu ya dunia, tutalipa sisi (walipa kodi) na interest juu. Hivyo ni bora zaidi wananchi wakanunue Komputa ktk maduka yenye ushindani kuliko kuwapa shirika moja.

    Na kikubwa zaidi ni bora kuwapa wananchi wako ELIMU bure kuliko kununua Komputa millioni ambazo hupoteza thamani yake kwa asilimia 30 kila mwaka..

    Mkuu umeongelea kitu muhimu sana.

    Tukikadiria hata kwa bei ya chini ya dola 300 kwa computer ni dola milioni 300 kwa computer milioni moja.Kama gharama ya kumsomesha mwanafunzi mmoja shule ya msingi ni Dola 20(naomba kusahihishwa hii) kwa mwaka,Dola milioni 300 inaweza kusomesha wanafunzi 2.14m kuanzia darasa la kwanza mpaka la saba.

    Ukweli ni kwamba computer kwa standard hiyo ya dell ni kama US Dollar 500. Hapo in maana zitahitajika dolla Millioni 500 ambazo ni sawa na Ts. billioni 750(kwa 1US$=Tsh.1500)

    Billioni 750 ni fedha ya kutosha kujenga vyumba vya madarasa 4700 kwa kila mkoa (Gharamba ya chuma kimoja = 7.5 Miln)

    **Chukua 750 bn/7.5 Mil = Madarasa 100,000/Mikoa 21 = 4700.
    Vumba vya madarasa 4700 kwa kila mkoa litakuwa limemaliza kabisa tatizo la ukosefu vya vyumba vya kusomea.


    Ni bora serikali ikafanya hivi kuliko kugawa computer kwa wanafunzi ambao kwanza utahitaji kumfundisha kingereza,kila shule kuwe na wataalamu wa IT kwa ajili ya kurepair n.k kuwe na walimu wenye utaalamu huo, vijijini hakuna umeme, Hii ni janja tu ya hawa jamaa kutuingiza mkenge na kufanya tukope deni watakalolipa watoto wetu kwa manufaa ya hawa wanaojifanya wanataka kutusaidia. Nitaishangaa serikali kama ujing huu wataukubali

    LAKINI umesoma vizuri hiyo habari? sio DELL kusambaza computer, ni kuhusu mitsumi kupata uagent wa dell, then wanafikiri kwa vile dell wameshafanya deal ya kuuza computer zao huko kenya kwa kutumia mradi wa world bank, then, matsun/mi or whatever that name is can explore opportunities within the government and world bank.

    CRAP!!!!!

    Inawezekana zikawa zinauzwa dollar 250 watu wakauziwa dollar 500. Lakini jambo la kujiuliuliza ni TIMING ya Tangazo hili. Wafanya biashara ni opportunistics wakubwa, hapa si kama wanamuunga mkono JK baada ya kukosolewa vikali na sera za kompyuta katika madarasa ya nyasi yasioweza kuhimili hata nyaya za solar.

    our kids in the villages need proper classrooms, desks, text books (to hell with online books coz' hata hapa mjini hakuna anyways) then qualified teachers - wa kutosha, then laboratories then other crap like computers........WHAT DO YOU THINK!!!

    Hatuwezi kuruka hatua za maendeleo........unampa mtoto computer wakati hajui kusoma na kuandika? au hajui simple east africa geography just for a starter!! and off all the things, mwalimu hakuna na kama yupo hajawahi kuiona computer
