    1. Property and Utilities Manager
    (REF/No. AD/0010/09)


    The Property and Utilities Manager will be responsible to the Principal and Management for the maintenance of buildings and environment, proper management of utility infrastructure, asset and property management and space planning and utilization.

    Applicants should be Kenya citizens with a degree in Land Economics, Property Management or Civil Engineering from recognized university. They should be registered or registrable with their respective professional bodies and have seven years’ experience, three of which, should be at management or senior supervisory level.

    Possession of Masters’ degree or any other relevant post graduate qualifications will be an added advantage.

    They should be team-players with demonstrable leadership and be computer literate. In addition, they should be able to initiate and carry out minor maintenance works of College facilities and structures.

    School of Applied Sciences and Technology

    Department of Chemical Sciences and Technology

    1. Associate Professor

    Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree from a recognized university with specialization in any area of Chemistry. They should have seven years’ teaching experience, three of which should be at Senior Lecturer level.

    They should also have research experience as evidenced by scholarly publications.

    The successful candidate will be required to teach and supervise both undergraduate and post graduate students as well as initiate and conduct research in areas of specialization.

    S/He will also be required to participate in other Departmental, School and College assignments.

    Department of Technical and Applied Physics

    1. Associate Professor

    Applicants should be holders of Ph.D. degree from a recognized university in any area of Physics. They should have seven years’ teaching experience, three of which should be at Senior Lecturer level. They should also have scholarly publications as evidence of continuing research activity.

    The successful candidate will be required to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervise their projects and initiate and conduct research in his/her area of specialization. S/He will also be required to participate in other Departmental, School and College assignments.

    2. Senior Lecturer
    (Ref/No. AC/0032/09)


    Applicants should be holders of Ph.D. degree from a recognized university in any area of Physics. They should have five years’ teaching experience, three of which should be at Lecturer level.

    In addition, they should demonstrate experience in continued research activity as evidenced by scholarly publications. The successful candidate will be required to teach and supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students. They will also be expected to initiate and conduct research in their respective areas of specialization.

    3. Tutorial Fellow
    (Ref/No. AC/0033/09)


    Applicants should have a Masters Degree in any area of Physics from recognized universities. They should demonstrate ability in scholarly research activity and teaching at university level.

    Successful candidates will be expected to pursue further training and attain higher degrees in their respective areas of specializations. S/He will also be expected to undertake some teaching assignments at the undergraduate level as well as participate in other activities of the Department.

    Note:

    Applicants should forward ten (10) copies of their application letters accompanied by a similar number of certified copies of certificates and C.V.s giving details of their qualifications, experience, research activities and publications and the journals in which the publications appear.

    They should in addition, give names, current designations and addresses of three (3) referees. They must request their referees to forward their reports directly to the University College Principal through the address below.

    Applicants should forward their documents indicating their current designation, salaries and other benefits and the current letters of appointment, through their respective Heads of Departments.
