The International Living Magazine rates the quality of living in all countries of the world. For the year 2010, France leads the world with a highest score of 82% while Somalia struggles at the bottom of the list, scoring 30% only. In East Africa, Kenya leads the pack with a score of 51% followed by Tanzania and Uganda, both scoring 50%, while Rwanda scores 46%, and at the bottom is Burundi with a score of 44%. Let us congratulate our Northern neighbors for the job well done in improving their quality of living. Here is the list

Amazingly, Kenya lags behind most of her neighbors in all other important parameters except Leisure & Culture and Weather where she does extremely well than the rest. The full list can be seen at Quality of Life Index 2010

Nimeangalia watafiti walikuwa wanamaanisha nini hasa na baadhi ya categories, na nina nukuu hapa (kutoka 2010 Quality of Life Index: 194 Countries Ranked and Rated to Reveal the Best Places to Live – International Living ),

kwa Climate "When deciding on a score for each country's climate, we look at its average annual rainfall and average temperature…and consider its risk for natural disasters", na, kwa Culture & Leisure "To calculate this score, we look at literacy rate, newspaper circulation per 1,000 people, primary and secondary school enrollment ratios, number of people per museum, and a subjective rating of the variety of cultural and recreational offerings."

interesting which weather are they talking here? the drought most of Northern Kenya face? and which leasure and culture are they talking about here? i am curious to know criteria used! let me summarize my argument, there is NO PLACE IN EA can beat Zanzibar on leisure and culture! I repeat NO PLACE IN EA CAN BEAT ZNZ ON LEISURE AND CULTURE! if criteria used took under consideration the number of std hotels, cultural events and historical part of it!

Hapo pa Infrastructure napatilia shaka, ama mie ndio sijui ku interpret hizo data, lets have an open discussion without throwing insults at each other..

smatter, tz ina barabara bora na connection nzuri ya railway kuliko kenya. you only have one railway, sisi tunayo reli nzuri sana inayounganishakuanzia Dar.... mikoa ya kati hadi Lusaka Zambia, pia tunayo ile ya kati ingine inaunganisha kuanzia Dar hadi Kigoma na Mwanza...hata kama ziko kwenye hali ya kizamani, its just a matter of rehabilitation na usafirishaji utakuwa safi zaidi. barabara zetu pia tumeimmprove sana, tumeunganisha pia na mozambique kwasasa...na ukichukulia Tz is too extensive kuunganisha barabara na railway ni vigumu lakini tumepatia....the size of tz is equal to the size of kenya, uganda, Rwanda and Burundi....upo hapo!

you can as well finish your statement..... as usual! when you talk of leisure and culture there are numerous things! and being given an award to selective camps does not mean you are leading, get the point! By the way the indicators used are soo weak! So stop claiming things that are shallow researched! By the way Zanzibar has been winning the same award more times on its beach resort category than those two selective camps! and neither of those can beat Grumeti! Probably the Grumeti isn't the member of Paradizo.com. And how can the quality of living in Kenya be substantiated from those two camps?

Let's take you up on your request

Tukichukulia ufafanuzi wa hawa watafiti wetu, "To calculate a country's Infrastructure score, we look at the length of railways, paved highways, and navigable waterways in each country, and equated these things to each country's population and size. We also consider the number of airports, motor vehicles , telephones, Internet service providers, and cell phones per capita."

roadnetworktanzania2010.jpg
,

Na kwa regional roads tunazo,

roadnetworktanzania2010.jpg

Hizo ni takwimu za barabara tu. Inspite of the widespread and overt corruption katika sekta ya ujenzi na miundombinu, wizara hii ina takwimu za kujivunia.

Tukija kwenye economy, watafiti wetu wanasema, "We consider interest rates, GDP, GDP growth rate, GDP per capita, the inflation rate, and GNP per capita to determine each country's Economy score.",

Geza Ulole,

Zanzibar is not a country! I repeat Zanzibar is not a country...it is a province of tanzania...albeit semi-autonomous...don't get off track!!

@Mfianchi,
Nadhani kama ymekuwa ukifuatilia malumbano ya kila siku hapa IF then utakuwa umeelewa nilimaanisha nini kwenye post yangu ..
