Proffessors from the University Of Nairobi.
According to a Germany Newspaper ie Bloomberg Times ,K
Kenyan officials have signed the agreement with IAEA that the project will be for civilian purposes and a Millitary Barrack next to the Site should be moved.
Resident in village where the project is said will be constructed have reported seeing Officers from the dreaded GSU Unit who apparently are commando's trained in Israel moving to the site to offer the much needed security. The Kenya Air force has also promised to offer 24 hour surveilance to the site till its completed

That's interesting...naona Kenya inaanza kuwa moja ya nchi kwenye center of gravity in international politics. Wamarekani, israel na waingereza hawawezi kuikemea kwa sababu wamekuwa kipenzi chao siku zote lakini wasipoikemea itaonekana kuna double standard.

By the way, mbona kwenye source zako hizo 3 wamarekani na waisrael hawajawa mentioned kabisa?

atleast wenzetu wana viongozi ambao hawaogopi kufanya maamuzi au viongozi wanaotumia akili kufanya maamuzi au viongozi wenye akili na hawaogopi kutumia akili wanapofanya maamuzi vyote hivyo viongozi wetu hawana lol.

hawana chochote ndugu those are wishfull thinking...kwa uongozi gani kenya kutekeleza hayo?

kipindupindu kibera wameshindwa wataweza kuhifadhi wapi nuclear waste?

wameshindwa kuwasaidia internal displaced people miaka minne wanaweza wapi kulinda nuclear site?... not under this current leadership hiyo ni gia ya raila kupata kura hakuna kitu hapo..lets wait and see.

Tumain, you deserve to stay in jamii forums, home of great thinkers. Because you can ponder, link and conceptualizing ideas.

How comes kny can manage to handle the tertiary issue while failed grossly to handle elementary matter such as cholera.

This thread was brought by kayundi..the anti-EAC friend from kenya..just to show kenyans (few kenyeans not all) egoism character..kwamba sasa wana nuclear they are big brother in the region..what a joke?

Kenyans please has to put her house in order in many aspects from local politics to land distribution, form wide range of economic issues (gap between the haves and have not...to mention few...

Nuclear issue was brought by raila after his official visit to Iran (highly critised internally) why kwasababu alienda bila ruhusa ya rais na alienda na only ODM delagates...

We in Tanzania and especially business community nendeni kenya mkafanye biashara..they are the lost society..when to teach them values..and humanity..we did in zimbabwe, south africa why not our brother...hiyo ya nuclear ni bado sana..lakini siyo mbaya ku-dream.

The issue of energy technology particularly nuclear power is a very sensitive phenomena. It need a very serious supervision and commitment both financial and moral.
For example, a very minor negligence in handling waste product could lead to a very bad event.

Moreover, the nuclear reactors are not enviromentally friendly as some proponents argue, because cooling the plants need a very large amount of water, in tropical countries such as kny, it is a challenge since
there is a shortage of water. We are running out of water for our primary and daily need such as drinking, cleaning etc, how can it be possible to have water for cooling the reactors.

Furthermore, the discharged coolant (discharged water after cooling) are so hot in such a way they are affecting living organisms if discharged over the area. Some people argue that this hot water can be used to heat the town, by supplying hot water for domestic use and steam indoor heating panel. the problem is people are frightening thought on the health effect,
it is not certain if the water has no harm to health.

These are just some, try to find out for other facts on the matter.

So kayundi2, are you well informed on the pros and corns of the project.
meza unachoweza kumeza.

I dont know why my mind goes BS, BS, BS everytime I read a post that you've written, seems like you are perfecting the art of pissing Smatta off. Do you think that Kenyans stay watching Tanzanians affairs like you guys keep your eyes on ours?

Even though Americans are not mentioned behind this project but I do believe they are there not only for energy but for military purposes as long as kenya and Uganda are close friends to america.
on matter of security
If the project developed it has great effect to other East African countries particularly Tanzania which previously rejects some "offer" from America.

To my view, let them try and I wish them all the best because if Tanzania has failed even to utilise the free natural gas we have, why not commend the kenya's efforts in improving their energy sector?

Kikwete Is just moving around the globe, talking about political issues which are irrelevant to his country while his government has failed to satisfy the country with electrical energy despite the fact that we have millions of tons of natural gas.

Good start kenya......keep it up!!
