Facilities Management Component: -assist the Country Office in all matters related to facilities management; -analyse and provide advice in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of premises; -ensure effective space management within the premises; -ensure the regular maintenance of building(s) and building systems (electrical, plumbing, heating, air/conditioning, ventilation, fire detection and suppression, security, etc), including the identification of problems and the discussion with appropriate and specialised contractors; -inspect sites and recommend solutions to routine as well as unusual technical problems; -supervise and ensure that works done by contractors are performed promptly and according to specifications; -develop procedures for preventive and routine maintenance of all facilities equipment and fittings; -make proposals for the selection of new equipment and materials; -supervise staff involved in facilities management; and -perform other related duties as required.
