Kazi ya BOT ni nini? Shilingi yazidi kuporomoka, sasa $1=Tsh. 1,500

By the way, Hazina ipo chini ya MoF na siyo BoT.

Wat do u expect?

Mashaka
"A fall of the shilling means investments within the country will result in lower returns when converted back to the foreign currency, as such, most of foreign corporations will have no choice but to raise cost of their goods and services to meet operating cost and at the same time remain profitable".

Mtu wako
This argument is purely theoretical, unrealistic and recklessly expressed. Foreign corporations report to their home offices on regular basis and in most cases it happens in local currency as well as foreign currency for internal reporting purposes. Any significant budgetary deviations will be will be known immediately and corrective measures will be taken to address any negative pattern. Corporations do not wait until year end to calculate returns on investment unless they have hired a lousy CFO. Mashaka’s first portion of argument does not factor in the role of an effective CFO.

As far as ‘raising the cost of their goods and services’, this is reckless, nobody raises costs to maintain profitability, it would be more comprehensible to raise prices provided that the demand for the goods or services is inelastic.

Nani ana make sense hapo ktk nchi ambayo ina rely heavily on imported goods kumbuka we only get the tax hapo tu. Tena kama toilet paper sh500 serikali inapata faida ya whatever tax is on there. Na mwenye duka anapata faida ya retail price, the rest inarudi kwa manufacturer considering we miss the corparate tax na watu ndio wanao nunua obviously the Injection is always going to be lower. Ni moja ya sababu mia moja tuna rely on donors on our budget. Sasa mtu anaenda kutetea na kusema there is no difference alafu anajiita mchumi tafadhali, like i said he is too western for me au niseme ni msomi but not creative.

Mi naona weakness ya mashaka ni inabidi na ajifunze another social politic course such as sociology or geography hapo ndio weakness yake ilipo he doesnt consider the role of people and what role others have to play, yeye yupo much more concerned with data at hand.

Nadhani kwenye posting hapo juu, inawezekana Mashaka alimaanisha "price" badala ya "cost" kwenye phrase ifuatayo: ‘raising the cost of their goods and services’ It could simply boil down to poor choice of precise economic/financial jargon on Mashaka's part.

mbona he was clear like a sunny day, akionglea business aspect of production and the consequences which might arise due to the increase of value of dollar.

Labda nikufungue anachosema kwa kuwa tunaagiza bidhaa alafu tunauza kwa shillingi na haya ni mashirika ya kigeni hivyo at the end inabidi wa convert hiyo hela into dollars. Hapo watajikuta wanapata loss kwenye predictions zao (i dont how much you understand on how a business is runned) kutokana na responsibility zao labda kuna mikopo ya kulipa na kadhalika. They can not afford to take risk na vile the money coming in is less kutokana na exchange na uncertainity of sh. Hivyo hawata kuwa na budi zaidi zaidi ya kuongeza bei ya dukani kufidia bei ya production (general cost of their business aimed at Tanzania) au wakate soko la tanzania ku-salvage the business.

By the way why do you think ur man is right?

Angalia sentensi ifuatayo aliyoandika Mashaka:

....raising the cost of their goods and services...

...nobody raises costs to maintain profitability, it would be more comprehensible to raise prices provided...

May be it was a typing error or lack of vocabulary hata mi mbona nimetumia bei ya production badala gharama only to put it right in the bracketed sentense. Nevertheless his message was crystal clear.

Mwisho mi sijajiita mchumi niliobobea hila huwa nashtuka na praises watu wanazopewa ukiwasoma, wana soo many flows in thier analysis of things, kwa mfano hata hiyo hoja ya Mashaka nilioitetea aina msingi ktk maendeleo yetu kabisa kipindi hichi.

Alamsiki.
