Hii si ajabu hawa waliunganisha vyama vyao, na sasa CCM na CUF ni wamoja! hivyo mkuu kumpokea msaidizi wake ni jambo la kawaida!

Usipotoshe umma tafadhali. Mambo ya Zanzibar tofauti na bara wacha akampokee Mtanzania aliyekubalika majuu kwa sifa zake. Yeye kawapita maprofessor wengine sio kwa kuwa mwenyekiti wa CUF Tanzania. Sio kila mahali siasa tu ndio maana mnashindwa hata na majirani zetu hapa karibu kwa mawazo kama haya ya kuchanganya mambo.

Baaada ya kukaa kimya kwa muda mrefu bila serikali kutoa pongezi kwa prof.lipumba juu ya uteuzi wake wa kuwa m/kiti wa maprofesa wa uchumi duniani baada ya kuwashinda zaidi ya maprofesa 555 duniani na akiwa mwafrika peke yake, raisi kikwete ameamua kwenda kumpokea prof.lipumba tarehe 11/3/2010 ktk uwanja wa ndege wa j.k.nyerere. Je hii ni sahihi?

Civic United Front (CUF) has requested President Jakaya Kikwete and Tanzanians generally to join them during the arrival of the party's national chairman Prof Ibrahim Lipumba from America this Saturday.

Speaking to reporters in Dar es Salaamyesterday, CUF deputy director for Organisation, Election and Political Affairs Shaweji Mketo said: "We appeal to President Kikwete and other Tanzanians to join us and welcome back home our national chairman because he was doing intellectual work and not politics."

According to Mketo, the government ofRwanda has issued a statement congratulating Prof Lipumba for being one of the best analysts of a draft on the world economy for the next 25 years, noting that was the work he had been doing in the United States of America.

Mketo said it would be unfair if the government of Rwanda recognised Prof Lipumba and President Kikwete and Tanzanians remained silent.

He said Prof Lipumba saw an announcement at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Office calling for all intellectuals across the world to air their views about the global economic downturn. At least 55 intellectuals submitted their proposals on the problems facing the global economy and what and how to do in the next 25 years.

"Only 16 won the competition and one of them is Prof Lipumba, who was then appointed the chairman of the selected group," Mketo said.

As Tanzanians, he said "we are proud of Prof Lipumba. That is why we are asking the president and all Tanzanians to show an example of cooperation for the development of the nation," he said.

Responding to a question on a newly formed political party (Alliance for Democracy Change), he said that was what democracy meant.

On the other hand, Mketo said on Sunday Kilwa-North MP Selemani Bugara would escort a peaceful demonstration of the villagers to the district office to pressurise the government to stop a system of selling cashew nuts by receipt – meaning selling to the buyer and waiting for money until the product is sold.

"We are really supporting the peaceful demonstration because it is not fair for farmers to sell their products on credit, while the government is prioritising agriculture – Kilimo Kwanza – policy so it must initiate the best way, which is conducive to both parties – buyer and seller alike," stressed the CUF official.
