I don't hate the West the problem is the profit percentage from the Mines is very little we get 2% 3% it is not enough

Or they don't allow our experts to work in the local mines they send them Overseas to work like Congo, Eritrea etc

They will not let local experts works in our mines because they will know how much they send Minerals without our

Poor Government knowledge.

you are getting 4% even before the mining companies record any profit in their books. When capital is returned and profits are being made, you are still getting the 4% plus 30% as Income Tax plus whatever profits you have agreed upon, 15 to 30% of profits, add that up and still say you are not earning.

If you earn and do not know how, when and where to spend your money, do not blame it to the investors. They are not here to give you charities, they are here to invest and make profits.

If you can do it for yourselves why invite them? did they invade your country? did they force you into signing the agreements? that if you do not let us mine the whatever we will blanket bomb you? Be real!

The fact that we need investors in the mining sector needs no emphasis. If the sector has so far not benefited us there is nobody to blame but ourselves, you have said we earn between 2% to 3% in loyalties that's not investors' problem but ours bearing in mind that our neighbour Botswana charges loyalty above 10%. In order to reap more from our mineral resources we should go for partinership and not rely on loyalty and taxes. Investors come with capital and technology while we own the resources, we should build capacity in trade negotiations and most importantly engage honest professionals to represent us in such discussions. The new constitution has to give a model of operationalization in the mining and other important sectors rather than leaving this on the prerogative of our politicians some of whom are grossly dishonest.

That's why Our President is the Darling of the West; One of the reason is we charge very low royalties rather than going for partnership and this started during President Mkapa

The Other part is we signed an agreement not to let our Educated Tanzanians in Minerals know-how not work on any of the mines in Tanzania but they let those working there like Mnyika who's a figure head Director with no Mineral know-how will not know the capacity of the mine, the quality of the GOLD, the longevity of the gold mine so that they will continue exploit our wealth. And Our Government is blindfolded we don't know for how long those mines are operational.

We did sell ourselves to them with our open hand pits while we were preaching Socialism for years Mkapa and the GANG they saw $$ and their legs gets weak and accept the exploitation.
