    MWENYEKITI wa Tume ya Kufuatilia Kampuni za Madini Serikalini (TEITI), Jaji Marck Bomani, amesema wageni wanazidi kuimaliza nchi kupitia sekta ya madini, yakiwa ni matokeo ya sheria mbovu.

    Jaji Bomani imeishauri Serikali kubadilisha haraka sheria zilizopo kuhusu sekta hiyo ili kuwawezesha wananchi kujua kila kinachopatikana kutokana na raslimali hiyo.

    Alisema uchimbaji wa madini utaendelea kuwanufaisha wageni kwa kuhamishia fedha na madini nchi za nje na kwamba hilo linatokana sheria zilizopo kuwapa mwanya.Jaji Bomani alisema hayo jana alipokuwa akizungumza katika warsha ya uelimishaji na uhamasishaji umma juu ya taarifa ya kwanza ya ulinganisho wa malipo na mapato kutoka kampuni za uchimbaji madini na gesi asili, katika mwaka wa fedha 2008/2009 iliyofanyika jijini Tanga

    Alisema ni jambo la kushangaza kuona Tanzania pekee ikitoa mwanya kwa wawekezaaji kuchimba madini na kuyasafirisha nje kwa ajili ya kuyauza.Jaji Bomani alisema mabaya zaidi makampuni hayo yametakiwa kulipa kodi baada ya kuondoa gharama zote za uendeshaji au uzalishaji.

    "Hakuna mfanyabiashara anayeweza kusema ukweli juu ya faida ganayoipata kutokana na kuchimba madini, haiwezekani Tanzania tuendelee kuwa masikini wakati madini yetu yanayotoka yangeweza kusukuma mbele maendeleo yetu,"alisema Bomani.

    Alisema katika taarifa ya awali imebainika kuwa uchambuzi uliofanyika kuna tofauti kubwa ya taakribani zaidi ya Sh 46 bilioni kati ya malipo yaliyodaiwa kulipwa na kampuni na fedha iliyopokelewa serikalini.

    Akiwasilisha mada ya mtizamo wa wadau na jamii juu ya ripoti ya kwanza ya TEITI na matarajio ya ripoti ya pili, mjumbe wa kamati hiyo, Askofu Stephen Munga alisema unahitajika uzalendo wa hali ya juu kwa viongozi waliopewa madaraka ya kuwaongoza wananchi.

    Alisema haiwezekani rasilimali ya nchi kuendelea kuvunwa na kutoroshwa nje ya nchi kijanja na kuwanufaisha wageni huku Watanzania wakiendelea kuwa masikini na kwamba ni lazima hatua za makusudi za kuinusuru nchi
    zichukuliwe.

    Hivi hup uhauri si ulitolewa muda mrefu sana katika ripoti ya Bomani na akina Zitto? mbona hadithi inaendelea? ina maana Rais aliunda kamati bila kuwa na utashi wa kutekeleza mapendekezo ya kamati? yangu ni hayo tu.
