IT System Administrator (2)
We are seeking a dedicated, self motivated and highly organized IT System Administrator to join the IT Department. The successful applicant will join a team of qualified IT Personnel at Bulyanhulu mine site who will support and carry out all duties assigned by the company.
Reporting Line: IT Superintendent
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; 1000km inland from Dar es Salaam; Shinyanga
Regional, Kahama District.
Work Schedule: Rotational Status, (8 weeks on 4 weeks off)
The principle duties include, but are not limited to:
Monitor the servers, network and communication system and troubleshoot problems in order to maintain the highest level of availability
Ensure the highest level of Network Security with special emphasis on securing confidential data at all times
Attend to helpdesk inquiries and ensure that calls are dealt with in a timely manner.
Ensure that IT services provided are compliant with both legal and operations policy requirement and that auditable reports are maintained in accordance with best practice and established managements
Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner that complies with the company and legislated requirements
Maintain and encourage high standards of service and quality of work provided by other IT department personnel
Transfer knowledge to other employees to enable smooth handovers and an improved technical base within the department, thus leading to a consistent level of IT Services delivered to the company
The successful applicants must have the following qualifications/skills:
IT Degree or Advanced diploma in IT, with specialized training in System or Network Administration
2 years of IT System Administration
Must be able to demonstrate technical experience with windows XP / 2003 Microsoft network configuration and support within a TCP/IP, Ethernet based LAN/WAN environment
Minimum of two years experience in desktop and network support
Relate to all levels of the organization
Continually promote safety in the work place.
Good communication skills in Swahili and English
