As I was surfing a few moments ago, I bumped into this catchy quote: "If the president is immune to most easy attacks from the opposition, it [the opposition] needs to find someone who isn't."

Now, kwa mtizamo wa siasa zetu za kibongo, President Kikwete anaonekana ni bullet proof - kwa sasa at least. Criticism zote ni kama zina bounce, you tell me what sort of noise has ever shaken Kikwete visibly. Sikumbuki wakati wowote aliwahi kutikisika kiasi tukasema yamemkuta muungwana - japo si rahisi kujua moyoni anawaza yapi.

Sasa basi, kama lengo ni kujenga base ya alternative administration, who, au nani should we instead point our attacks to? That's the way politics work anyway. Options zingeweza kuwa Vice President, Prime Minister, Speaker or Chief Justice. Kati yao nani anafaa kuwa bangusilo la kuikosoa CCM na mwenendo wake wa kiutawala?

Katika kufanya hivyo, tuzingatie yafuatayo: "Never give in to pressure, and regardless of what happens, don't lie, cheat or steal - otherwise anything else is fair game."

Fair game kwamba ushindani wa kisiasa nchini mwetu unazingatia nini? Attacks, policies, personalities or reactions?

Kama Kikwete hakosoleki akiwa kinara wa serikali ya CCM, ni nani tunayetakiwa kusema naye tumwangushe mweleka? Haya ndugu zangu, kwani Tanganyika ilidai vipi uhuru wake?
