I have been asking myself this question. So I wanted JF great thinkers to help me with concrete answers. You know countries with poverty minded leaders like ours have been dancing to the tunes of the so called first world countries. They started with gender issues (remember the Beijing conference),then came Malaria,HIV/AIDS,environmental degradation and concerns (issues of participatory natural resources management in forest and wildlife sectors emerged). And now there is climate change. This tune has allured most intellectuals in TZ,to the case that everybody now wants to be engaged in climate change research. Dubiously, Norway has been the major donor on the so called climate change issues in TZ. I wonder what are their interests? However, from a CLIMATEGATE scandal point of view,I am being sceptical on validity of this tune in TZ. Moreover, from a meteorological point of view, for a place to be named as of a certain climate,a 30 years study of weather patterns of that place is needed. So I wonder how in TZ people are talking of climate change by just refering to predictory reports of IPCC and the like. Where such reports have been highly criticised due to unreliable and false predictions (refer to a case in the Himalaya Mountains whereby IPCC predicted a decrease of ice,but it came to be learnt, such predictions were mere narrative and not scientific conclusions. So with such scepticism, JF great thinkers help me out with the case in TZ.

    yeah, climate is real!!!

It is a deliberate lie! there is no such thing called global warming or 'man made climate change' my friend. Professors at udsm etc, most of them have been engaging doing pieces of reserach in environmental with no remarkable findings of their studies in our country. They get money/fund, they propose title/problem statement, they cook data, they present and got masters degree/phd, and more money!! life goes on

For thinker any issue relating environmental degradation should be taught from childhood, curriculum in our schools should be changed and all matters regarding environmental can be simply covered there. Protection of enviornmental should be an habit not a threa!!!

I perused a book 'World at Risk' written by Beck Ulrich 2009, you will find out that climate change/global warming is just a bla bla! so many politics are revolving around this matter

Then I discovered that there ia a big different between global warming/climate change and risk!!! it seems we are dreaming about the problem (anticipating) we are not actually living in...yes world changes but mostly naturally, not because of man made actions.

    I stand to be corrected

Sasa kwa izo school of thoughts inakua vigumu kujistify any.

Mvua kua unreliable mzee si kwamba ndo climate is changing!! Kisha tunajump into that wagon to make some cash out of this constructed rality!!!

all in all, we have to refer to the LAW OF THE CONSERVATION OF ENERGY; That energy is neither created nor destroyed, it only changes form!!!

Those old good times of sleeping anytime, bila kuoga hamna joto are gone. The climate change is something real. Bahati mbaya tuna viongozi ambao sio kabisa. Mkuu wa Wilaya, Said Mwambungu kila siku anasema watu wasikate miti na kuchoma miti milimani, badala ya kuchukua hatua as he has that authority. Ofisi ya Mkuu wa Mkoaa iko at the slopes of milima, kila siku naamini akiwa ofisini he could tell ni mti gani umekatwa, but hamna cha maana wanachochukua against the move. The climate change is something real.
