I have been asking myself this question. So I wanted JF great thinkers to help me with concrete answers. You know countries with poverty minded leaders like ours have been dancing to the tunes of the so called first world countries. They started with gender issues (remember the Beijing conference),then came Malaria,HIV/AIDS,environmental degradation and concerns (issues of participatory natural resources management in forest and wildlife sectors emerged). And now there is climate change. This tune has allured most intellectuals in TZ,to the case that everybody now wants to be engaged in climate change research. Dubiously, Norway has been the major donor on the so called climate change issues in TZ. I wonder what are their interests? However, from a CLIMATEGATE scandal point of view,I am being sceptical on validity of this tune in TZ. Moreover, from a meteorological point of view, for a place to be named as of a certain climate,a 30 years study of weather patterns of that place is needed. So I wonder how in TZ people are talking of climate change by just refering to predictory reports of IPCC and the like. Where such reports have been highly criticised due to unreliable and false predictions (refer to a case in the Himalaya Mountains whereby IPCC predicted a decrease of ice,but it came to be learnt, such predictions were mere narrative and not scientific conclusions. So with such scepticism, JF great thinkers help me out with the case in TZ.
