(AGI) Tehran- Iran accused Germany's Siemens of placing small-sized explosives in the equipment acquired for its nuclear program. Siemens denied the allegations and noted that it ceased to supply the the Islamic Republic with equipment for its nuclear program in 1979 (the year of Khamenei's revolution). According to the accusations launched by Alaeddin Boroujerdi, chairman of the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security in Iran's Consultative Assembly, Iranian intelligence discovered the miniscule explosives before they were set off. "The equipment was supposed to explode after being put to work, in order to dismantle all our systems," Boroujerdi said. Siemens had begun the construction of Iran's first nuclear reactor for the Shah in 1974, and it is now part of the Bushehr plant, completed by the Russians and only activated in 2011. . .
