I have a crude idea about a power supply for Tz which needs to be refined !

    Based on the intermittent power supply from TANESCO,I have thought a strategy to import this service from Scandinavia countries where it is argued that power supply problem is probabilistically equal to negligible. The means of importing it is what I call a "crude idea".

    The idea is, since it is possible to call via cellular phone someone in those coutries(Scandinavia countries), and these phones vibrate before answering the call. Then those engineers can now convert the vibration(Mechanical+Kinetic energy) into useful form by amplifying it.
    Welcome all, to rectify and refine my crude idea.

    Two Russian physicists are fundraising to realize their project for wireless energy transmission once proposed by brilliant 20th-century scientist Nikola Tesla. Solar panels and an upgraded Tesla Tower could solve global energy hunger, they say.
    Leonid and Sergey Plekhanov, graduates of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, claim they have spent years scrutinizing the Nikola Tesla's patents and diaries and they believe that with his most ambitious project – transcontinental wireless energy transmissions – Tesla came very close to unprecedented scientific discovery that could be brought to fruition.

    The enthusiasts say they need about $800,000 to reconstruct the famous Wardenclyffe Tower once created by Tesla himself to implement his ideas and find a commercial application for his ideas on long-distance wireless energy transmission.
    The Plekhanov brothers are raising money through IndieGogo kickstarter. The campaign will last until July 25. So far the project has managed to collect only 2 percent of the desired sum (about $18,000 out of the desired $800,000 as we publish this article).
    According to the authors of the project, as of today all human civilization's electric energy needs could be covered with a single installation of solar panel measured approximately 316 by 316 kilometers (100,000 square kilometers altogether) positioned in a desert somewhere near the equator.
    They believe the only stumbling block to such a project is the delivery of electric energy to final consumers, as the loss of energy directly depends on the distance of transmission.
    The Plekhanov brothers believe that only experimental verification of the theory could help the original idea become reality. They also say that their "creative interpretation" of the physical model proposed by Tesla has already been confirmed by "numerical simulation in Ansoft HFSS software."

    The original Wardenclyffe Tower (also dubbed the "Tesla Tower"), was constructed by Nikola Tesla in Shoreham, about 100 kilometers from New York, in 1901–17. It never became fully operational. The 57-meter-high tower was made of wood and copper and after a number of experiences to perform trans-Atlantic wireless power transmission, as well as commercial broadcasting and wireless telephony, the tower was disassembled in 1917.
    Leonid and Sergey Plekhanov believe the construction of their "Planetary Energy Transmitter" would be much lighter than that of Tesla's, decreased from over 60 to mere 2 tons – all because of the modern materials used for the framework and up-to-date conducting materials. Naturally, the installation would be equipped with advanced electronics.
    "We've conducted the fundamental research studies, implemented the computational models and designed all the parts of the experiment. We will be able to perform energy transmission and measure the results. Will it be ‘global' as Tesla suggested? Based on the research that we've already done – we believe it will be, and we going to prove it experimentally," the scientists wrote.
    The scientists are going to repeat Tesla's experiment in the fall of 2014.
    And if the experiment works, the scientists say that a free energy world with limitless global energy transmission is possible.
    Still, there are a number of considerations regarding the huge solar panel installation proposed by the Plekhanovs. Besides the fact that the very production of solar panels, at least on the modern level of technology, is really damaging for the environment, the efficiency of such power generation is still very low.
    Besides that, such production is very expensive. A square meter of solar panel costs approximately $200. A simple multiplication of the sum by the proposed 100,000 square kilometers give us a stunning sum of $20 trillion, more than the gross GDP of either the US or EU. That's without infrastructure. And even if the cost of production falls by several times, it would still be unspeakably expensive, experts say

    I dont know,the idea seems too impracticle to me because the vibrations are not only small but also lasts seconds b4 the phone is answered to produce any serious amount of energy.And i also think that modifying the phone so as to do the task,and fitting it with amplifiying devices would cost much more than the energy produced.Also the idea might work in a Lab or something but on a large scale thats a no no.Impracticle.According to me that is.

    Dah nimejaribu sana kuifanya idea yako iwe practical nikaona niongezee one more crude idea..since now we have so called undersea cable for internet communication from europe to africa to india e.t.c i think its high time we sell off tanesco to scaninavian company so that they can put undersea transimision line from scandinavia to tz. by doing this we'll get power problem solved once and for all

    Good guy, I have seen the phone which can keep on vibrating for incoming call before being answered. Since we need the vibration from the phone you don't have to answer the call. About the amplifying devices cost, to be fair cost analysis should be done before conclusion.

Umeme ni mradi wa Muundo msingi, na mara nyingi miundo msingi ni Miradi mikubwa inayofaa kugharamiwa na Serikali.Gharama zake hua kubwa, inahitaji mikopo itakayo simamiwa na Banki za Dunia. Tatizo ni kuwa viongozi wwanaotarajiwa kutuongoza ndo hao... Kwa mfano Mawimbi Baharini, yanaweza kuzaa umeme, (Documentary niliona, toka Australia)

    Nina Crude idea nyingine.....

    Kwa wakati huu ipo mipango kamambe/kabambe kuimiza matumizi ya nishati endelevu(Renewable Energy), hoja ikiwa nikuwa kuna fursa nyingi huko na nirahisi kufikisha nishati ya aina hiyo vijijini ambapo si rahisi Umeme wa Gridi Kufika. Jambo hilo lina ukweli ndani yake.

    Kwangu mimi naona ni jambo jema kujaribu kutumia fursa hizo (hasa ninyi wahandisi) kujaribu kutatua matatizo yanayotukabili hasa hili la nishati. Ila ningependa kuwapa changamoto nyingine:
    Inasemekana nishati endelevu zina husisha wind,solar, hydropower... na.nyinginezo. Kuhusu Hydro power inaeleweka kuwa ni ghali sana kuanzisha mradi wa kukidhi mahitaji nishati kwa jamii (Initial costs). Sasa kwa uelewa wangu mdogo wa mambo ya kihandisi/mazingira nasikia Hydropower inatokana na kitu kinaitwa Hydrological cycle. Na cyle hiyo inausisha maji yatiririkayo mtoni(conventional Hydropower produced), mvuke kutoka baharini ,mvua nakadhalika...Sasa nadhani nyinyi wahandisi mnaweza kubadilisha nishati iliyo katka mvua inayonyesha(dropping water from clouds onto the earth's surface e.g iron sheet roof) kuwa nishati rahisi kutumia(mnaiita useful energy). Mvua mara nyingi ina kuwa na nishati ya kutosha kwani ukisikiliza sauti inayotoka wakati mvua inanyesha kutokana na matone kupiga juu ya paa lililoezekwa kwa mabati, ni ushaidi kuwa nishati nyingi inapotea kama sauti(energy wasted in sound form). Hivyo wakati wahandisi mnachangamkia fursa hizo za nishati endelevu basi pia fikirini namna ya kututengenezea vimashine vyakuvuna nishati ya mvua.

    Du! haya bwana, we endelea kuumiza kichwa na hiyo idea yako na wala usiwajali wanaokubeza, usijisikie vibaya mkuu, hii inaweza kuwa ni changamoto ya kupata idea nyingine ambayo ni bora na tofauti kabisa. Nitakushirikisha baadhi ya mambo niliyoyafanya.

    Nimekuwa na idea nyingi za kuzalisha umeme Tanzania na nilianza kuwaza haya mambo toka nikiwa na miaka 15 kwasababu sikupendele mambo ya mgao.

    Wakati bado niko sekondari sikuona sababu ya kutegemea tekinolojia ya hydroelectric power kuzalisha umeme wakati ina zaidi ya miaka 150. Nilikuwa nikijiuliza, hivi hatuwezi tafuta njia mbadala? Katika miaka yangu ya utineja nilijaribu njia nyingi za kuzalisha umeme ikiwemo ya jua, elecrolysis, mimea mbalimbali, nilijaribu hata kupima kiasi cha voltage kwenye cable za simu, ndimu, papai na mixture ya solution mbalimbali. Hivi vyote viko documented kwasabau wazazi wangu walinishauri niwe na weka kumbukumbu ya mambo yote ninayoyafanya.

    Pia nilikuwa na private tutor pale DIT wakati nipo A level ambaye alikuwa ananifundisha electronics kama somo la ziada. Yeye ndiye aliyenishauri nifanye computer badala ya electronic engineering chuo.

    Nakumbuka tulikuwa tunatengeneza dawa ya mbu ambayo ilikuwa ni electronic device inayotoa mawimbi ambayo yana disturb mbu.Tulikuwa tuna design circuit yake from scratch na baadae ikikamiliaka tunatumia'cathode ray oscilloscope' ku-tune vibration ili ifikie pale ambapo mbu wanakuwa disturbed. Sikumbuki threshold frequency lakini ni zaidi ya 20khz ambapo binadamu hatuwezi kusikia ila mbu wana detect hiyo sound na kuwafanya wakimbie.

    Miaka ya mwanzo ya 2000s wakati bado nafanya engineering ya computer nilikuwa pia nafanyia kazi hypothesis yangu fulani ya physics (independently) inahusika na gravitational field na electromagnetic waves kwakweli hii bado naifanyia kazi na hivi karibuni nimekuwa nikifikiria kutumia tesla technology kutumia sun light and heat radiation kutengeneza umeme.

    Eniwei sikutaka kueleza mengi lakini nimeona nikushirikishe kipande cha maisha yangu ili nikupe moyo na uwapuuzie wanaokubeza, naamini usipokata tamaa utafanikiwa.

    Njia nyingine ni wataalam waangalie jinsi gani wanaweza kutengeza vifaa vitavyowezesha kila nyumba iweze kuzalisha umeme japo wa kuwasha taa kutokana na mavi


    Kwenye majumba tuna maseptic tank na na tunakunya . hili hakuna anayebisha. na lile joto la mavi nadhani linaweza uwa converted kwenye japo light energy

    So waatalam waangalie wanaweza kutengeza vifaa gani amabyo vitatumika kuzalishaumeme kutoka kwenye mavi

    Japanese scientists have made a breakthrough step towards developing new energy source for humans in the future by for the first time transmitting electric power wirelessly to a pinpoint target using microwaves.
    Japanese scientists from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has succeeded using microwaves to deliver 1.8 kilowatts of power through the air to a pinpoint target 55 meters away, a spokesman for the agency said.
    "This was the first time anyone has managed to send a high output of nearly two kilowatts of electric power via microwaves to a small target, using a delicate directivity control device," he said as quoted by AFP on Thursday.

    Why go into all the trouble? wezi wa waya za shaba watazamia hukohuko baharini wakazivuwe.

    Just give TANESCO to Scandinavians and tell them its all yours, we want power. Let them run it and you'll see tremendous changes in the first week of their takeover.
