    [h=3]Financial Assistance[/h] [h=2]Exchange Rate[/h]In December, ISM is using an exchange rate of US$1 = TSh 1,655/-

Fee Remissions of up to 25% of tuition fees are available upon application to certain families who can demonstrate financial need. In addition to the standard admission application form, applicants' families will be asked to provide details of their financial circumstances.
Bursary Awards of up to 25% of tuition fees are available to upper primary and secondary students with good academic ability. See bursary.htm for more details.
It is possible to apply for BOTH a fee remission and a bursary award and hence reductions in tuition fees of nearly 45% are sometimes available.

[h=3]Other Fees[/h] When a student first joins ISM, we charge a Capital Development Fee as a contribution to the School's past and future capital development. [TABLE="class: norm"]

[h=3]Bursary Awards[/h] ... for students in secondary P4-M5 and in the IB Diploma D1 (Standard 7 to Form 5):

New students wishing to enrol in ISM are invited to apply for a bursary award offering a 25% reduction in tuition fees for academically successful students. More details are available on our Bursary Awards page.

NOTE!: We can now also accept some payments by credit card.
Click here to pay ISM by credit or debit card.

[h=3]Terms & Conditions[/h] ISM charges tuition fees annually to cover the full costs of tuition, exercise books, loan of text books and participation in the sports, CAS and extra-curricular activities programmes. We usually charge separately for individual music lessons, as a contribution to the Outdoor Pursuits programme, or for special language instruction.

Boarding fees include the full costs of boarding care, accommodation, food, laundry and medical services provided by the school nurse or school doctor.

There are reductions on tuition and boarding fees for 2nd, 3rd and subsequent children in a family who are currently enrolled in ISM in classes other than Early Childhood; these are 5%, 10% and 20% of the figures above respectively.

Fees are established in US Dollars. The figures given above in Tanzanian shillings are calculated here using an approximate exchange rate of US$1 = TSh 1,655/- and are subject to fluctuation with the exchange rate. The School uses a mean commercial bank rate each month to calculate conversion between US dollars, TSh and other currencies.
Click here to convert to other currencies or receive today's guideline exchange rates.

Parents of children in Early Childhood may defer payment of the Capital Development Fee and Deposit until their child joins P1.

The tuition and boarding fees shown above are fees charged for a full year in advance. There is a small additional charge applied to fees paid quarterly or in other instalments.

[h=3]Methods of Payment[/h] We can accept payment of fees by any of the following means:
    • By bank transfer in TSh, US$ or £ Sterling transferred to an account in Tanzania,
    • By bank transfer in convertible currencies to bank accounts in the USA or the UK.
    • By TSh cheque delivered to the school.
    • By US$ check drawn on a bank in the USA or in Tanzania, or by £ Sterling cheque drawn on a bank in the UK or in Tanzania. We cannot accept non-Tanzanian cheques delivered by mail.
    • By personal payment in TSh, US$ or GB£ at either our Moshi or Arusha campuses.
    • By credit card payment online (limit $4000 per day). Click here to pay ISM by credit or debit card.
Payers will be charged any transaction fees associated with bank transfers or cheques.
Fees can also be paid quarterly or, in special circumstances, arrangements can be made to pay fees monthly or at other times or by other means. Please contact the school for ISM bank account details.

Full details of payments and other fee matters are available upon application or by email

    Tafakali...
Equity in education: Value of education
