Hivi ubora wa elimu katika vyuo vikuu ni kufelisha wengi?

    Katika miaka yangu ya kusomea degree ya biashara nimekutana na waadhiri wanaojisifia kutunga mitihani migumu, na huwa wanahakikisha wanafunzi wengi wanafeli, je ubora wa elimu ni kufelisha wengi?

    kwa kweli elimu yetu ni ya kuiombea tu kwa Mungu.

    nimewahi kushiriki kufanya utafiti wa outcome and competence-based approach to curriculum development kwa kulinganisha curriculum yetu na curriculum za baadhi ya nchi na tulikuta katika baadhi ya tasks za field fulani fulani, middle school leavers wa china wakiwa competent kuliko gegree holders wa bongo walio-cover mambo yaleyale!

    binafsi nilimu-interview msichana mmoja mkazi wa Guangzhou jimbo la Guangdong huko china katika mambo ambayo huwa covered kwenye masomo ya literature, lakini ali-demonstrate ufahamu mkubwa kushinda graduate wote niliowa-interview huku kwetu Tanzania. msichana huyo alikuwa mmoja wa wahitimu wa middle school wapatao 8 niliozungumza nao katika utafiti huo na walikuwa na umri wa kati ya miaka 17 na 20 tu.

    kwa kweli it was a great shock and something must be done quickly to promote the quality of our education!!

    sorry natoka nje mada kidogo >> Elimu yetu ya tanzania inawalakini mwingi sana kubwa zaidi haipo updated ... iam sure lile daftari langu la physics la advance leval nililomuachia rafiki yangu basi alimpatia mdogo wake.. na mdogo wake akampa rafiki yake.. wakisoma material yaleyale.

    hapa nilikuwa nasoma makala ya BBC ( BBC Swahili - Habari - Vyuo Vikuu Afrika havitambuliwi )

    kuna mahala wacha ni quote wameongea ukweli mtupu ..

    nikweli ukiangalia wanafunzi wengi sasa hivi wanakimbilia India, china, malaysia, philipines, rusia, romania ... etc ..

    mwandishi akaongezea ...

    nikirudi kwenye mada hayo yaliwahi kunikuta mimi wiki moja kabla ya mtihani wangu wa A-leval mwalimu alitunga mtihani wa chemistry mgumu sana, nakumbuka nilipata 2% ulemtihani.. ilikuwa si kawaida kwa shule kama mzumbe mtu wa kwanza chemistry kupata 20%.. alafu akawa anatudhihaki kwamba .. hamsomi... wiki kabla ya mtihani mnapata matokeo kama haya.. sitokuja kumsahau yule mwalimu... alitakiwa atutayarishe kisaikolojia kuwa ready kwa mtihani yeye alitu discourage.. na kutaka tupoteze matumaini kabisa "hao ndio walimu wetu" wanaona sifa akiambiwa katika mtihani wa taifa hakuna mwanafunzi aliyeweza kujibu swali lako. "upuuzi m2pu"

    binafsi mimi kabla ya kupata schollership na kuja kusoma huku ughaibuni nilianza kusoma pale muhimbili .. kilichonikimbiza . muhimbili badala ya kukutayarisha kuwa dactari... wanakutungia mtihani ili ufeli!! hii ni tofauti kubwa sana kati ya vyuo vyetu vya serikali na vya huku mbelembele...

    Ubora wa elimu si kufeli kwa wanafunzi wengi. Na pia si kufaulu kwa wanafunzi wengi (situmii "kufelisha" na "kufaulisha" kwa sababu naamini kufaulu au kufeli kunatokana zaidi na juhudi ya mwanafunzi).

    Ubora wa elimu ni jinsi gani elimu inayotolewa inakidhi mahitaji ya jamii au Taifa na jinsi mwanafunzi anavyobadilishwa na kuwa bora kutimiza hayo mahitaji ya jamii.
    Katika hili, mwalimu anatakiwa kuhakikisha mwanafunzi anaelewa alichofundishwa. Hili linaendana na tathmini ya kuelewa, ambayo hufanyika kwa kutumia mtihani. Mtihani unatakiwa utungwe ili kupima mwanafunzi ameboreshwa kwa kiwango gani.

    Kwa kawaida, mtihani wowote, wanafunzi (kwa darasa la kawaida) hawawezi kupata marks sawa, kwasababu wanafunzi wanatofautiana. Kwa mantiki hii, si sahihi kutoa mtihani ambao wanafunzi wote wanafeli au wote wanafaulu kwa kiwango sawa. Mtihani kama upo objective, wanafunzi watapata marks tofauti tofauti.

    Japo wote tunapenda kufaulu, lakini nafikiri digrii zitakuwa hazina maana iwapo kwenye kila mtihani, watu wote wanapata A alimradi kuwaridhisha wanafunzi. Ikumbukwe kuwa kila ngazi ya elimu, kwanzia msingi, sekondari, high school kunakuwa na mitihani ambayo katika upimaji wake, inapelekea kutenganisha kondoo na mbuzi. Lakini huwa hatusikii malalamiko kuwa mitihani ilitungwa kwa kukomoana.

    Malalamiko haya huwa yapo kwenye ngazi ya elimu ya juu. Japo inawezekana kuna ukweli, lakini pia nafikiri wanafunzi 'unknowingly' wanakuwa na "wrong assumption" kuwa digrii ni guaranteed kwa kila anayejiunga. Kama ambavyo si wote wanafaulu form six au form four, basi hata Digrii ya kwanza sio lazima wote wapate. Na hata digrii ya pili sio lazima wote wapate, na hata ya tatu. Kila ngazi kuna kufaulu na kufeli. Cha muhimu, ni kwamba mtihani ulengwe katika kumpima mwanafunzi na si kumkomoa au kumfurahisha.

    sidhani.. mtaala mzima wa bongo kuanzia Shule ya msingi hadi vyuo vikuu unatakiwa uangaliwe tena. na hawa wanaopigiania kiswahili iwe lugha ya kufundishia ndio watatutupa gizani kabisa..! imagine somo kama biology especially topic ya reproduction linafunndishwa kwa kiswahili. ifike kipindi mitihani itungwe kupima uwelewa wa mwanafunzi sio kumtungia ili afelei. sometime inakuwa kama kamchezo fulani. mwanafunzi anasoma topic flani akijuwa hapa lazima swali lichomoke, mtungaki "mwalimu" anatafuta topic ambayo anajuwa hapa huyu mwanafunzi hata akigusa hachomoki...

    me wacwac wangu na elimu ya india uko sehemu moja,inakuaje m2 analamba division 4 au zero afu anakimbilia india kusoma,sa hyo ni elimu gan inayochukua wa2 walio feli jaman?

    labda tupe maoni yako generally, unadhani ubora wa elimu unapimwa kwa kumuangalia aliyeingia kwenye education system au aliyetoka? inputs or outputs?
