malipo ya daraja yatakuwa na muda maalum ili kurudisha fedha za NSSF baada ya hapo itakuwa bure lakini sijui ni miaka mingapi ingawa awali nilisikia ni miaka 25

Linaitwa Hampton Roads-Tunnel, tena limejengwa 1957. Halafu kuna watu wanasema hakuna sehemu watu wanalipia daraja.

kwa sababu maalum pengine wanaangalia chanzo cha fedha kilichojenga daraja hilo kama ni mkopo au msaada au serikalini na masharti yanayoambatana na fedha hiyo lakini pia kiwango kikubwa cha uwekezaji katika mradi. magufuli anaweza kujibu vizuri zaidi hayo ni maoni yangu tu

Kuna nchi zinatumia hii, na imesaidia sana kupunguza foleni. Kwa waliopo Malaysia watakubaliana na mimi, barabara nyingi tu ni Toll Roads, lazima ulipie (angalia picha) na ukikosea tu kusoma vibao vya barabarani utajikuta bila kupenda umeingia barabara ya kulipia ambazo nyingi ni express way

(Delaware) -- The new bridge over the Indian River Inlet should be open for traffic by late December or early January, authorities said Tuesday as they announced
the $150 million project had reached a milestone with the connection of the north and south sides of the span.

Work crews poured concrete late in the day to unite the decks of the two sections, a six-hour process that made the bridge just over 90 percent complete.

"I won't say we're home free after this, but this is kind of a critical point to get us to where we want to be," said Doug Robb, project manager for the Delaware Department of Transportation.

The exact opening date is highly weather-dependent, DelDOT officials said; they expect to announce a completion schedule by the end of November. Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee caused construction delays in late summer.

The new bridge will be four lanes across the inlet, but only two lanes -- one in each direction -- will be open at first as the bridge gets tied in to Del. 1.

The final two lanes should be open by spring, after which the current bridge will be closed and then taken apart piece by piece. All four lanes should be open before Memorial Day, said DelDOT spokeswoman Tina Shockley.

After the concrete sets, the bridge's cable stays have to be adjusted to bring the united span into proper position, which will take several weeks, Robb said.

"It's almost like tuning a guitar," he said.

The concrete-pouring Tuesday covered a 10-foot section of the main span that is 8.5 inches thick, as well as edge girders and a floor beam.

"We'll be able to walk across in the morning," Robb said Tuesday afternoon, standing beside the gap. "Within 24, 48 hours, we'll be able to take some of the small equipment that's on the bridge deck across."

The bridge deck still has to be covered by a polymer overlay surface that's about an inch thick.

Workers have to finish electrical and lighting work, install deck joints and remove tower cranes. The form traveler, a steel structure used to build much of the concrete bridge, should be removed by the end of October, Shockley said.

The old bridge is being replaced because fast tidal currents in the inlet have scoured away much of the underwater landscape near the bridge. DelDOT says the bridge remains safe for travel.

It will be demolished gradually, with pieces of concrete cut away and sunk as part of an ocean reef system, Robb said. The steel will be recycled.

Nafikiri alikuwa anajaribu kujikosha kwa watu wa Kigamboni baada ya kuwaambie wapige mbizi. Mbona kusaini mikataba mingine haipewi PR kama kusainiwa kwa mkataba wa daraja la Kigamboni? Tusubiri hiyo miezi 36 aliyosema daraja litakuwa limeshakamilika. Yasije yakwa yale ya Kilwa Road.
