    For real, Haiti was suppesed to be a heaven for black people in diaspora. See what the whites like to see-misery amongst the blacks. Things seem to be never the same out there. Only misery, tribulations, chaos, unpredictables.

    Na hii ndo nchi maskini kuliko zote duniani ila kwa sababu za kijografia kisiwa hiki kimekaa katikati ya kitovu cha matetemeko ya ardhi hivyo kuiyumbisha hata uchumi wake.tusishangae baada ya muda si mrefu ukasikia si nchi maskini tena na si kuchukua nafasi yake.

    200 years of Independence and Haiti is still the poorest country in Western Hemisphere. Kwa mujibu wa Wikipedia;

    Haiti now ranks 149th of 182 countries in the United Nations Human Development Index (2006). About 80% of the population were estimated to be living in poverty in 2003.[2] Most Haitians live on $2 or less per day.[83] Haiti has 50% illiteracy,[84] and over 80% of college graduates from Haiti have emigrated, mostly to the United States.[85] Cité Soleil is considered one of the worst slums in the Americas,[86] most of its 500,000 residents live in extreme poverty.[65] Poverty has forced at least 225,000 Haitian children to work as restavecs (unpaid household servants); the United Nations considers this to be a modern-day form of slavery.[

    How worse can it get ?

    Duvalier returns from exile to Haiti.

    [IMG]
    Before.

    [IMG]

    Now.

    Haiti’s reclusive former dictator, Jean-Claude “Baby Doc” Duvalier, made a surprise return to Haiti on Sunday night after 25 years in exile as his country struggles with a political crisis and the stalled effort to recover from last year’s devastating earthquake.

    Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world. The economy depends heavily on agriculture, which accounts for more than 40% of GDP, provides 85% of exports, and employs 80% of the work force. Topography and climatic conditions, however, limit cultivated crops to only 4% of the land area. Industry traditionally featured the processing of agricultural products and light consumer goods. The World Bank, the IMF, and bilateral donors have provided funds to rehabilitate Tanzania's out-of-date economic infrastructure and to alleviate poverty. Long-term growth through 2005 featured a pickup in industrial production and a substantial increase in output of minerals led by gold. Recent banking reforms have helped increase private-sector growth and investment. Continued donor assistance and solid macroeconomic policies supported real GDP growth of nearly 7% in 2007. </TD></TR><TR><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM-STYLE: none; BORDER-RIGHT-STYLE: none; BORDER-TOP-STYLE: none;
