Mr Lowassa, who is currently the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, Security and Defence, reiterated that the growing army of unemployed youth "is a time bomb" "Unemployment is on the rise and alarming, efforts must be made to address it," the Monduli MP through CCM said.
The former premier made the remarks in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday at the Julius Nyerere International Airport VIP lounge, shortly before leaving for an official visit abroad.
"I have been told that our gas reserves are worth about 6 trillion US dollars, we could get loans against the reserves and pump it into industries that would create jobs for the population," he explained.
