HakiElimu seeks to recruit competent, creative and committed candidates for
Program Officer, Policy Analysis and Advocacy (1 post)
From all we are looking for:
(a) Commitment to social justice, human rights and quality education;
(b) Ability to be creative, imaginative and analytical;
(c) Commitment to mutual respect, tolerance and team work;
(d) Desire to take initiative and learn;
(e) Willingness to take on responsibilities and work hard;
(f) Adherence to highest ethical and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
(a)Critically monitor and track key developments in human rights, governance and brief HakiElimu accordingly.
(b)Undertake and effectively communicate analysis of these issues.
(c)Write, communicate and represent key HakiElimu positions.
Key Competencies:
(a) BA degree minimum, Masters preferred
(b) At least two years experience in areas related to responsibilities
(c) High level of knowledge on human rights, governance and related issues
(d)Strong analytical and research skills
(e) Strong advocacy and public speaking skills,
(f) Excellent writing and communication skills
(g) Computer skills.

(a) A cover letter clearly stating in 200 words or less why you want this job and are suitable for it,
(b) Salary history (include last salary slip where possible),
(c) 2 letters of reference from non-relatives,
(d) An updated CV which includes your complete contact details,
(e) 1-2 samples of something you have already written.
