Tumaini langu nyote mu wazima wa afya, ila kwa wewe ulio na udhaifu wowote basi Muumba wako akurejeshee afya njema.

Wakuu, nadhani baadhi ya watanzania wengi wanaona na kufuatilia mfumo mpya kwa mabasi yaendayo kasi hasa ktk jiji la dar.

Tatizo kubwa ni mabishano yanapojitokeza kuhusu utumiaji huo mpya na hakuna mwenye maelezo yakinifu nikiwemo mimi.

Kweli nahitaji maelezo yakinifu kabisa ktk maswali haya
1. Kama ni magari yaendayo kasi, kwanini vituo vyake vipo karibukaribu sana
2. Kuna mipaka gani kati ya mabasi yetu ya kawaida na hayo yakwenda kasi ili kuzuia ajali?
3. Utaalamu gani umetumika ktk mfumo huu kuzuia ajali na foleni
4. Kwenye mataa (mf. magomeni, ubungo) ni mfumo gani utatumika mabasi haya yasikae ktk foleni
5. Huduma itakuwa kwa masaa 24?

Mwenye taarifa sahihi naomba anitoe huu ujinga uliopo kichwani tafadhali.

[h=1]BRT[/h] 1. PROJECT LOCATION
The project is located in the city of Dar es Salaam. The Works for the first phase cover a length of 20.9 km starting at Kivukoni Ferry to Kimara Mwisho including sections of Kawawa Road from Magomeni to Morocco and Msimbazi Road from Fire to the intersection with Nyerere Road.
The Works will also include construction of 29 ordinary bus stations (bus stops) within roadway; 5 bus terminals and 2 bus depots along the project corridor as illustrated in Figure 1 below.

2. BACKGROUND
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Second Central Transport Corridor Project (CTCP 2). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this credit will be applied by TANROADS to eligible payments under the contracts for the Construction of Dar es Salaam Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Infrastructure - Phase 1.

3. PAVEMENT
Roadways - From BRT design concept, cement concrete pavement (reinforced concrete) has been adopted for BRT lanes and flexible pavement (thick hot mixed asphalt) adopted in the mixed traffic lanes and will be laid directly on the existing stabilized base.
Walkways -The walkways will be on concrete (pre-cast), according to the chainage definitions, following a module of 10m. There will be a band of 10 x 25 cm stones.

4. ROAD CROSS-SECTIONS CHARACTERISTICS
The project corridor is divided into different seven stretches, according to road characteristics, and the typologies are defined in relation to this division. Typical Cross Section is as shown in Figure 2 below.

5. CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS
The construction project entails implementation of seven (7) Works Packages namely;
Package 1: Road Works;
Package 2: Ubungo Depot, Feeder Station and Up-Country Bus Station;
Package 3: Jangwani Depot;
Package 4: Kivukoni Terminal and Feeder Station;
Package 5: Kariakoo Terminal and Feeder Station;
Package 6: Feeder Stations; and
Package 7: Relocation of Power Utility.

5.1 Package 1: Road Works
Package 1 involves construction roads with total of 20.9km. The package is implemented under two lots:
Lot 1 (10.4km): Morogoro Road from Kimara up to Magomeni including Bus Stations and Terminal Buildings (Kimara and Ubungo Terminal plus Pedestrian Bridges) and
Lot 2 (10.5km): Morogoro Road from Magomeni up to Kivukoni, Kawawa Road from Magomeni up to Morocco and Msimbazi Road from Fire to Kariakoo at intersection with Nyerere Road including Bus Stations and Terminal Buildings (Morocco Terminal and Morocco Feeder Station plus Pedestrian Bridge).
Procurement of Contractors for the two lots is at final stage and the contracts are expected to be signed by May 2011 and the duration of the contract will be 24 months.

5.2 Package 2: Ubungo Depot, Feeder Station and Up-Country Bus Terminal
Package 2 involves construction of three facilities namely Bus Depot, Feeder Station and the Up-country Bus Terminal. The works under this Package shall constitute of the following:
a) Demolition of existing Buildings;
b) Construction of Concrete and asphalt finished road and parking , 107,970 m2;
c) Construction of Depot Buildings consisting Administration Block, Main Building, Fuel Shed, Visual inspection Shed, Generator House and 2 No Gate houses and associated site works;
d) Construction of Feeder Station and Control Building consisting Feeder Bus Shed; Control Building and Ablution Block, Generator House and Gate House and associated site works;
e) Construction of Up-Country Bus Station consisting Main Shed and Ticketing Offices including parking lot and associated site works

Construction of the above facilities shall take place on the existing Up-Country Bus Terminal (UBT), which shall remain operational while the construction works continue.
The construction has been planned to be executed in two consecutive phases such that movement of Up-Country buses shall not be disrupted.
Phase 1 will include construction of the Depot (on the north side) as specified in bullets (b) and (c) above and Ticketing Offices including parking lot (on the west side).
Phase 2 will include construction of Feeder Station and Up-Country Bus Terminal and all associated site works.
The Works contract was signed with Beijing Construction Engineering Group (BCEG) Co. Ltd of China in August 2010 at a Contract Sum of TZS 14.6b/- and the duration of the contract is 24 months.

5.3 Package 3: Jangwani Depot
This package comprises filling the entire site with selected imported material; construction of Depot buildings which consist of Administration Block, Main Building, Fuel Shed, Visual inspection Shed, Generator House, 3 No Guard Houses, Ablution Block and associated services; Construction of concrete finished access road and parking area about 41,000 m2; Construction of precast concrete paving block finished parking area about 5,000 m2 and Construction of block wall fence and steel gates.
The Works contract was signed with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation of China in December 2010 at a Contract Amount of TZS 12.8b/- and the duration of the contract is 24 months.

5.4 Package 4: Kivukoni Terminal and Feeder Station
This package comprises Construction of Terminal Buildings which includes main shed, control building, ablution block, gate house and associated site works and services; Construction of concrete finished access road and parking to terminal station; Construction of Feeder Bus Station sheds including access road and parking; and Construction of block wall fence, foul and surface water drainage
The Works Contract was signed with Beijing Construction Engineering Group (BCEG) Co. Ltd of China in June 2010 at a Contract Sum of TZS 5.0b/- and the duration of the contract is 12 months.

5.5 Package 5: Kariakoo Terminal and Feeder Station
This package comprises Construction of Terminal Buildings which includes Main Shed, Guard house and associated site works and services; Construction of concrete finished access road and parking to terminal station; Construction of Feeder Bus Station sheds (8 No) including access road and parking; and Construction of block wall fence, foul and surface water drainage.
The Works Contract was signed with Beijing Construction Engineering Group (BCEG) Co. Ltd of China in August 2010 at a Contract Sum of TZS 6.3/- and the duration of the contract is 12 months.

5.6 Package 6: Feeder Stations
This package comprises Construction of 6 No Feeder Stations Sheds at Shekilango, Urafiki, Magomeni Mapipa, Fire, Kinondoni "A" and Mwinyijuma; and Construction of bituminous finished access roads to those 6 No Feeder Stations.
The Works Contract was signed with Beijing Construction Engineering Group (BCEG) Co. Ltd of China in August 2010 at a Contract Sum of TZS 4.4b/- and the duration of the contract is 12 months.

5.7 Package 7: Relocation of Power Utility
The project comprises power lines relocation works, with complete system design, procurement/ manufacture, manufacturer's quality assurance, shop testing, transportation, storage, erection, including all civil/structural works, site testing, commissioning of all items & materials including all associated activities required for the completion of the entire works under this package.
The Works contract was signed in May 2010 with M/s Spencon Services Ltd of Tanzania at a Contract Sum of 5.6b/- and the duration of the contract was 9 months.

Kama haya mabasi yatakuwa yanaenda mpaka ferry ningependekeza wale ndugu zetu wanaofanya biashara za Samaki watengewe mabasi yao. Maana kero na shombo la Samaki kuna baadhi ya wadau najua mnalitambua hilo. Utakuta jamaa anaingia na mkapu wa Samaki halafu anakuwekea puani Kwako kabisa na ole wako ufungue mdomo.

Kwa hakika sio magari yaendayo kasi kama tuijuavyo kasi! ila yatakuwa na barabara zake (hizo zinazotengenezwa katikati) kwa maana kuwa hazitashare barabara moja na magari mengine hivyo ku-imply hiyo kasi wanayoisema.
Hilo la mataa ya TAZARA Hata mimi ningependa kuona picha ya phase hiyo walau ntaeza kukupa jibu.

Huduma haitakuwa masaa 24 (hii nilimsikia dereva daladala juzi jumapili akisema so sina uhakika nalo sana)

Uko sahihi kabisa. Wachotengeza ni bus lanes. basi. Gari yoyote inaweza kwenda kasi kama barabara ni tupu.

Bado sijaelewa utashi wa wakubwa kutumia 230 bn kutengeza barabara za mabasi badala ya kuwekeza kwenye Trams? Itabidi walete magari (buses) mengi wakati Trams mbili kwa kila njia zingetosha kwa kuanzia. Baada ya miaka 2 tutaanza kulalamika public transport. Kwanini watu hawaoni mbele?
 
Kutakua na madaraja e,g First class, Business, Economy.
Ili kutoa motisha watu waache magari yao watumie usafiri wa jumuiya?
Je yatatumia gesi ya TPDC hapo ubungo ili nauli iwe nafuu kwa raia?
Je yatakua na muda kiasi gani kati ya basi moja kupita kituoni na lingine kufuatia?
 
Wasisahau kututengea na makaburi ya kasi na yasiwe mbali sana na kimara ili hayo mabasi yatusaidie kurudisha miili makaburini kwa ajili ya mazishi.
