SHORT COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT ON DATA PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS
(To be conducted in MWANZA)

The Department of Statistics, School of Mathematical Sciences is announcing a short course on “DATA PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS” that will be conducted on September 11 - 13, 2012 in Mwanza.

Course Description
This short course training deals with processing and analysis of raw data collected from the field. The training enables trainees to know key issues that should be considered when plan for data processing and analysis. It provides better insight into feasibility of the analysis to be performed as well as resources required. The training will cover: overview of data; data management using SPSS; data cleaning (missing values, outliers and normality); and descriptive data analysis.

Objective of the training
The objective of the training is to improve skills on different statistical techniques applied during data processing and analysis and hence practical interpretation of the result.

Target Group: Any interested person.

Participation Fee: Tshs 250, 000/= (The amount paid will cover tuition fee, training materials, lunch, refreshments and certificate of attendance. Participants are required to come with their laptops.

Venue: MUCCOBS - MWANZA located along Balewa Road opposite Nyakahoja Hostel.
