    ......Chumvi ni muhimu kwa afya yako ya mwili lakini ukizidisha inaweza kukuletea matatizo.
    Kiasi cha kawaida cha chumvi kinasaidia mwili wako kuwa na normal blood, blood pressure, nerves and muscle functions.
    ......Ukizidisha chumvi sana unaweza kupata matatizo ya moyo na damu, hivyo ni vizuri kupunguza kiasi cha chumvi kwenye mlo wako.

    Matumizi makubwa ya chumvi ndiyo chanzo kikubwa cha magonjwa ya moyo. Utafiti uliofanyika nchini Uingereza ulionyesha asilimia 72 ya watu waliokuwa wanatumia chumvi kwa wingi walikuwa wanaogua magonjwa ya moyo au matatizo katika mishipa ya damu (cardiovascular diseases).

    Lakini madhara ya chumvi yanatofautiana kulingana na unavyoitumia. Kwa mfano kula chumvi kavu (table salt) kama ile ya kuongeza kwenye nyama choma au unayoweka kwenye parachichi, ina madhara makubwa zaidi kuliko chumvi unayoipika pamoja na mboga.

    Utafiti mwingine uliowahi kufanyika huko Astralia ulionyesha kwamba watumiaji wa chumvi nyingi hasa wanaokula nyama choma, walikuwa wana uwezekeno mkubwa wa kupata magonjwa ya mifupa pia (osteoporosis). Nafikiri daktari wa JF atatusaidia zaidi.

    So itumia kwa kiwango kidogo kwa kadri iwezekanavyo. Lakini zaidi sana epuka chumvi ya kuongeza baada ya kupika.

    Wataalamu wanaema kuna madhara la madhara makubwa ni yale ambayo yanatokana na kutumia chumvi kwenye chakula mabcho kimeshapikwa na mtumiaji kutumia kwa kuongeza wakati anakula. Kwa kifupi kuna madhara kwa chumvi inapozidi kwenye chakula bra Makyao

    chumvi itumiwe kwa kiasi na pia usipende kula chumvi mbichi! Kuna watu wengine wanatabia ya kuongeza chumvi mezani! Hiyo tabia sio nzuri kwani chumvi ina vidudu vidogodogo ambavyo vinakufa ikipikwa!

    Samahani kwa kuvamia mjadala. Mimi ningependa mnijulishe hapa hapa madhara chanya ya sukari nyingi kupita kiasi. Niliwahi kutaka kuanzisha sredi, lakini naona hii inatosha kuijadili sukari pia. Nazungumzia sukari ya kawaida ya kutia kwenye chai, sizungumzii glucose et al. Ni vyema pia nikajua maximum allowable amount of sugar per tea-cup
