I hope we will have good and in depth analysis on Chinese in Tanzania instead of cheap generalization responses that are something of a norm

kama mtu hana data wana analysis bora asome kisha awapishe wengine...

Unlike Wahindi, I don't think they mis-treat workers. Do they?

    Wanaongea kiswahili
    Wanazaa na waswahili
    Wanacheza muziki wetu!

....Let them bring challenge. One of the things we need is challenge, not misaada!

On the face of it wachina wanaonekana harmless lakini hakuna jamii yenye kujua ku exploit popote waendapo kama wachina tena mbinu zao wakati mwingine ni mbaya sana bora hata wahindi!

In mid-1980's, Chinese criminal groups have become well-organized, modeled on the Triad societies of Hong Kong and China. They are now active in a number of South African cities, notably in Cape Town and Johannesburg; and they have branched out into a range of criminal activities, including various forms of fraud, drug-trafficking, firearms smuggling, extortion, money laundering, prostitution, illegal gambling, the smuggling of illegal immigrants, tax evasion, and the large-scale importing of counterfeit goods. The illicit harvesting and exporting of abalone, although still an important component of their criminal enterprises, is no longer the core activity of these groups.

The authorities have identified four major Chinese organized criminal groups: the Wo Shing Wo group, the San Yee On group, the 14K-Hau group, and the 14K-Ngai group. These groups act independently of Hong Kong and from each other in South Africa. The Taiwan-linked groups appear to be less structured and sophisticated than those linked to Hong Kong. Although there is very little intergroup violence, violence is sometimes used to eliminate competitors or to persuade debtors to repay money owed.

The Chinese criminal groups are involved in the corruption of public officials, mainly lower level officials in the Department of Home Affairs; this facilitates activities such as illegal immigration. South African law enforcement agencies should expect a considerable expansion of criminal activities by Chinese Triad-based criminal groups. To date, however, the measures taken by the South African Police Service to counter organized crime have not given much attention to Chinese criminal organizations. By 2000 there was still no dedicated police unit in place to monitor and investigate the activities of Chinese criminal organizations.

I quote "Critics say Chinese traders also deal in drugs and prostitution and peddle counterfeit products alongside legal merchandise. Local officials dismiss such claims, saying they are largely prompted by frustrations from locals who are simply unable to compete"

Mie niliwahi kusema kuwa duniani wahindi ndo the cheapest pple followed by fucking chinese.

I m really dissapointed with this government.

Hoja yako inaleta uwiano maalum. Mnakumbuka wageni walivyoanza kukimbizwa kule South Africa? Bila policy zenye uwiano wa kueleweka, kinachotokea Angola leo, Tanzania itaepuka?

tatizo si wachina, vyombo vyetu vya sheria, yani ukiwa mweupe wee ni wa juu, hao wachina kufanya kazi bongo mie naona powa tu kama wanafuata sheria, si wameona kwao maisha siyo vile wamekuja kwetu tz kusaka life, ni kama baadhi yetu tunapoondoka bongo kwenda kwingine kusaka life, tunafanya kazi ambazo wazawa wanaweza fanya lakini kisheria, sasa hapo bongo mambo ni ovyo, katika maisha yangu yote ya bongo sijawai kuona polisi wakicontrol mtu pass barabarani, baadhi ya nchi nje, mtu kama makaratasi hayajakaa sawa ukiona polisi unabadili njia. kwahiyo muhimu tu waliopewa dhamana za kazi wafanye kazi zao ipasavyo.
