Probability question!....anybody?!>:)
There are 2500 people right!....

30% of those bought Ford
20% of those bought Toyota
10% bought both Toyota and Ford

If you pick 1 person from those 2500 people, what probability/chances that person will be the one who bought Ford and not Toyota?

help!......

10% bought F and T thats 250

30% bought F thats 750, but these include those who bought F and T, so those who bought only F are 750 -250, thats 500

20% bought T, Thats 500, but these include those who bought F and T, so those who bought only T ARE 500 - 250, THATS 250

Probability of one person buying F and not T is 500: (2500-250)
That is 500:2250

Kwa hiyo 500/2250 au 2/9 au 0.22222 ndio probability yako.

If the price of gasoline increases by 25% and Ron intends to spend only 15% more on gasoline, by what % should he reduce the quantity of petrol that he buys?

A. 10%
B. 12.5%
C. 8%
D. 12%
E. 6.66%

Let Original Gas Price = $2
New Price = 2 + (2 * 0.25) = $2.50

Let Origanal Quantity = 15 gallons
Original Total Cost = 15 * 2 = $30
New Cost = 15 * 2.5 = $37.50

Ron's Intention
To Spend = 30 + (30 * 0.15) = $34.50

So, with the new price ($2.5), he would only get 34.5/2.5 = 13.8 gallons. That is 1.2 gallons less, which means 1.2/15 = 8% reduction of gallons

Answer = C
