PRESIDENT HUGO CHAVEZ CHATS WITH ORDINARY PEOPLE "LIVE ON TV"

Aló Presidente—or "Hello, President"—a weekly televised show that often runs five to eight hours and features Chávez speaking directly to the people, explaining government policy and mixing in a smattering of songs, poetry and whatever else strikes his fancy..... Aló Presidente programme serves as a weekly window into Venezuelan government, with Chávez often announcing major policy decisions on live television ...... and also answers questions and/or solves ordinary people's government-created problems live on the air!! "He sings; he gets involved in wordplay. ... He's probably the world's first virtual president in the age of the communication revolution."
He is reported to even phone Govt. Ministers or Chief executives while he is live on air directing them to take corrective actions or implement his directives or get immediate feedback there and then!
YES, that's the type of President I admire - sio domo kaya tu au nadharia .....

In this country, we may equate Chavez with Alhaji Ali Hassan Mwinyi, the only serving Tanzanian President to meet "walala-hoi" at CCM Sub-HQ's in Lumumba Street once every month to hear and tackle their grievances on the spot without red tapes. Can Kikwete re-introduce Mwinyi's legacy and for once listen from the true sufferers of their ill-advised policies and the "rotten fruits of ufisadi in his Government??"

Ndiyo maana kuna kitu kinaitwa delegation, ndiyo maana kuna mahakama.

There's a thin line between love and hate, hell and the pealry gates.

Kwa hiyo kutokutana na wananchi mmoja mmoja hakuna maana ya kuwa rais hayuko karibu na wananchi, rais anaweza kukaa na wazee wa jiji kama Diamond Jubilee pale every now and then kama alivyokuwa anafanya Nyerere (na Mwinyi) not more than once every 6 months though, hapa watu wanaweza kuongea issues za nchi, siyo kaka yangu katudhulumu shamba la urithi (kesi alizokuwa analetewa Mwinyi Lumumba, zenye potential ya ku violate checks and balance za judiciary na executive by the way)

Rais inabidi afanye vitu presidential.Sina tatizo sana na rais kutumia radio show (ingawa ni populism tu, matatizo yanatatuliwa na policies si radio shows, anaweza kupiga soga one way kwenye radio lakini bila policy change hamna kitu) lakini kukutana na mtu mmoja mmoja is a no no, mwishowe rais anakuwa worse kuliko Mwalimu Mkuu wa shule ya msingi anayesikiliza kesi za watoto, huyu kanipiga , huyu kaniibia kashata.
