Secretary General of Chama cha Kijamii (CCK), Mr Renatus Muabhi has advised Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo CHADEMA not to boycott different meetings which are conducted by Registrar of Political Parties in Tanzania.

CCK Secretary General, Mr Renatus Muabhi

Speaking to media yesterday, Muabhi said the Registrar, John Tendwa has goodwill of making sure political parties and police force work together peacefully.

"For example this meeting called few days ago aimed on discussing the killings which have been happening in CHADEMA meetings so it should not ignore that call. The agreement reached in the meeting was that each political party should ensure there is no any death which happens in its meetings."

Responding to CCK's opinions through mobile phone interview, CHADEMA Communication Officer, Tumaini Makene said CCK should not deviate from the original point raised by CHADEMA.

"Tanzanians continue to believe CHADEMA and Movement for Change M4C Campaign which is going on throughout the country. CCK talks about the issue which they don't know and their propaganda aim on hiding the truth."

Why would they meet with the one person wanted to get rid of them?.. Is that logical sound?

BTW Political parties' registrar should have met them( CCM, CHADEMA, CCK,TLP, CUF,NCCR,etc) more often and not only after the "killings"!

I would have thought - like any other rational person would do - that any political party that kills people in its meeting should be taken to task legally. So, assuming the poor guy meant CHADEMA, then he either doesn't know what he is talking about or he is being used. Had it been true that CHADEMA is involved in any killing there would have been a hue and cry and its leaders being arrested for murder cases (after all they have been taken to courts on umpteenth times for trumped up charges, why would they be left to go scot-free if these "killings by political parties" were a reality?

    1. CCK's unsolicited advise is not welcome.
    2. CDM has a leadership capable of making sound decisions as to what is good for the party and vice versa.
    3. CDM supporters are comfortable with the party's position on the matter.
    4. Muhabi should worry about getting his CCK off the blocks; CDM is on home stretch for the lap of honor.
    5. CCK and Muhabi should respond to issues raised by CDM and not act as Tendwas mouth pieces.
    6. CCK let Tendwa swim in his mess, he got himself into it.
    7. Tendwa must learn NOT to shoot first and AIM later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! adieu

It's the police that should ensure no death occurs in political and any other lawful gatherings of the people. Any attempt to shift the burden of responsibilty for the ongoing killings of the people in political assemblies will fail. The killers are known. It's the police. So the agreeement should have instead, read as follows; ' the police should ensure there is no any death which happens in political meetings and any other lawful gatherings of the people by respecting the constitutional rights of the people and REFRAIN from use of excessive force when apprehending suspects and also use their brains and not their emotions in all of their operations'
