Zain began in its mobile phone operations in 1998, and now operates networks in 15 African countries, which service more than half of Africa's population.

In April 2005 Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC), a pioneer of mobile telecommunications in the Middle East, acquired MTC (now Zain Group) for US$3.36 billion as part of their ambition to become an international telecommunications services provider.

Through investment in Africa the company has directly contributed to the creation of 75,000 jobs and 170,000 distribution outlets across Africa.

98% of Zain staff and management are from Africa. In order to maintain this standard, they are recruiting enthusiastic and ambitious people for their operation across Africa. They are looking into recruiting for across functions: HR, Sales and Marketing, Finance, IT.

    Jamani jaribuni,
What employers say about our previous Summits

"This is a great opportunity to source for talent - an event that has to be utilised by every company that is focusing on strategic people resourcing. We expect to hire at least 5 people from the event this year - keep it up!"
HR Director, National Microfinance Bank (NMB), Tanzania

“If you have a presence in Africa you would be crazy to miss such an opportunity to tap into this talent pool”
    HR Director, Stanbic Africa.
