Recently the Governer of Illinois Rod Blagojevich tried to "sell" the vacant seat left by Barack Obama.It is alleged that he tried to do that in return for:
*a high paying non profit job for himself.
*putting his wife on corporate boards for as much as $150,000 a year
*promise of campaign funds in cash
*a cabinet job or ambassadorship
To even common sense this is connected to greed and stupidity.However all the evidence shows that the President Elect is connected to this scandal.That is, there seems to be a guarantee from Obama that if he gives the seat to a person preferred by Obama, than Governor Rods requests will be met.Could this put to the drain Obama's "messianic'' popularity especially when one considers that he has other controversies including the citizenship issue?
