Without playing politics or being naive, JK will be remembered in four things.

1. The weakest president in history who started very strong and tried to rectify how the government should be working before he failed by stepping back and lead from behind after being threatened by findings about who are culprits. If JK new in advance that the people he was dealing with are the ones who brought him into power, he would end up being worst president in history by not even trying to do anything.
2. He would be remembered as the first president in history to win nomination solely by corruption knowingly or unknowingly. This tied up his hands to any action against the grand corrupt friends he associates with. JK would be remembered as the first president in history to use more than 50% of his presidential terms on voyage abroad.
3. The most important would be the first president on mainland to be voted out of second term and use intelligence agencies to retain power.
4. He should also be given credits for letting the country go on auto leadership, by lack of guts to call a spoon, a spoon though he knows that it is the one which brings food to his mouth from the plate.

~Atakumbukwa kuwa ni rais wa uswahiba na mlipa fadhila mkubwa kwa marafiki na visasi kwa maadui.

The only biggest legacy would be to allow a free and fair constitutional rewritting process but just be an oberver and not a player. He should let people of Tanzania determine their future not CCM determine for them. Ninajua kwenye vikao vyao watamwambia kuwa kama si katiba ya sasa asingekuwa rais, hivyo asiwabanie wenzake kuwa marais, ila legacy hii kama atafuata itakuwa mapema na kusahaulika pale CCM will be out of power unwillingly. CCM inaweza kwenda na maji lakini misingi imara ya demokrasia nchini kama itatengenezwa na CCM sasa chini ya uongozi wake basi ni dhahiri atakumbukwa milele yeye na chama chake in the future.
