Police are investigating the killing of a Kenyan national who until his fatal shooting earlier this week, was teaching at Brae- burn, one of leading English medium schools in Arusha.

Francis Mgambo, 46, was shot dead at a pub located at Shamsi area along the Dodoma Road on Tuesday night by three armed assailants who stormed the grocery at around 9 pm.
Mr Matei Basilio, the region- al police commander, told The Citizen here yesterday that they were yet to establish the motive of the shooting because the gangsters did not take any- thing from the bar or clients.

"It appeared that they targeted him only," he said, adding that after the shooting, the gun- men walked away and that nobody has since been arrested in connection with yet another mysterious murder to rock the municipality.

The fatal shooting took place at a drinking joint called Pressure Pressure at Shamsi area which, like the adjacent Ngarenaro and Majengo pubs, is notorious for violent crimes and mugging.
Eyewitnesses said the gangsters entered the bar and fired one shot to scare away people before aiming at the teacher who was taking drinks. He was shot in the abdomen and succumbed before reaching hospital where he was rushed to.
"The killers seem to have only aimed at Mr Mgambo" the RPC stated, noting that they were armed with pistols and that nobody had identified any of them. Police detectives have been deployed in the area to investigate, he further added.

According to me poor Tanzanians have started targeting foreigners working amongst them thinking that they are the reason for their poverty and joblessness, most of them are unaware that lack of proper schooling is the cancer thats eating them inside, till when will they continue killing innocents?

    Is that so?

Sasa kwa hiyo 'waTZ' wangetaka kumuua huyo mtu hata asingepata hata fursa kuingia huko Arusha kufundisha achilia mbali, kuketi kitako mahali ku-quench his thirsty. Wacha ulimbukeni wa kueka watu kwa makundi. Majambazi wengi wa Arusha wanatokea Kenya FYI.

    Nyambaf kabisa weye.

I don't condone such killings but Smata unakosea sana.

A Tanzanian can teach a Kenyan, vey much so. Not only Mathematics, Physics, Chemisty abd Biology (which we are good at) but also languages. My friend, talking about sciences, waTZ ni moto kwa taarifa yako. Wakenya maybe having more schools and mores students, but your education is shallow. Hawa walimu kutoka Kenya wanaganga njaa, hawajui hesabu.. wanafaidika na ile imani potofu ya baadhi ya watanzania kuwa cha nje ni kizuri. Na wengi wanafundisha kiingereza, of course you were more colonized/assimilated than us, ndiyo maana mnajua kizungu zaidi. Lakini je mnaweza Kiswahili, lugha yetu? Watu gani mnamaliza form four mnakwenda chuo kikuu! Watanzania wanafundisha ulaya na Marekani itakuwa kwa wachovu nyie, the reason ni kwamba kwenu hakuna maslahi, kuna ubaguzi ndiyo maana hakuna mTZ yuko interested kuja kwenu. You have been saying that we only limit ourselves to our comfort zone! What if other countries suck?

    Smatta,
I think we should discuss why such kind of killings take place in Arusha, which is closer to Kenya; and how to overcome the problem. Coming back to your observation/argument:
    1. Tanzanian teachers are overqualified to teach even in Kenyan private schools.
    2. That's why while Kenyan's bother much about shirikisho, forTanzanians it's not an issue at all!

...nnimetoa opinions zangu kwa kilichoandikwa, hiyo motivation au ni kweli au sio sio kazi yangu, and its true wananchi wengi not in this particular issue wamekuwa na tabia za kishenzi sana za kuchukia wageni, najua wakipewa nafasi watafanya walichofanya South Africans kwa wahamiaji...tabia hizi zina tofauti gani na teapartiers or russian skin head mobs wanaochukia wageni na kusingizia njaa zao kwa wengine, kama huoni ni hatari kumbuka Mtikila na siasa zake za ma*********,leo utachukia wageni then ma*********,wakenya next utakuwa wewe muhaya na ndugu zako labda ndio utashtuka siasa za kibaguzi hazilipi.
