Supervisor : Head of Energy Division
Duration : Twelve months (renewable )

2. MajorDuties and responsibilities

a. Analyse and maintain an overview of the work relatedto the Regional Geothermal Project to ensure that timely administrative supportis provided in general and specialized areas;b. Assist international personnel and visitorson general administrative matters, provide advice and ensure administrativesupport as required;c. Superviseclerical services for the project;
d. Prepare and monitor the budget of the projectand supply relevant information to officers in charge of project’s budgetexecution;e. Prepare correspondences, special reports,evaluation and justifications as required for general administrative tasks ofthe project;f. Preparemeetings and follow-up of decisions related to the project
g. Maintain policy, confidential and managementrecords;h. Make travel arrangements for the project officersandperform liaison duties with partners as well as invitees;i. Prepare and participate in Division andproject meetings and take minutes notes of such meetings;j. Perform any other duties as may be assignedby supervisors.

3. Qualifications and Experience Required
Ø Bachelor/Degreein Management or Administration or equivalent from a recognized educationalinstitution;
Ø Goodknowledge and practical use of Computer are mandatory

Ø A minimumof five (5) years relevant work experience in project /administrative work

Ø Experiencein Office Management is mandatory.

Language requirement

Proficiency in one of theAfrican Union working languages is a requirement; Knowledge of one or more ofthe other AU working languages would be an added advantage.

Age requirement:


Candidates must preferablybe between 25and 35 years old.


6. Tenure of Appointment:
The appointment shall befor an initial period of two (2) years, the first six (6) months of which shallbe on probation. It shall be renewable subject to performance and availabilityof funds.

8. Remuneration:
The salary attachedto the position is an annual lump-sum of US$42.742.05 inclusive of all allowances for internationally recruited staff, and

US$20.337.75 inclusive of all allowances for locally recruited staff
