American R&B musician R. Kelly was set to arrive last night for a concert expected to draw 30,000 people but one fan will be cheering to more than just his music after winning a Range Rover Sport worth about Shs200 million

Davita Natukunda, 25, who on Wednesday night won the brand new Range Rover Sport from Zain, will pick the car keys from R. Kelly tomorrow morning.

The king of R&B is tomorrow expected to give Ugandan fans a taste of his music at the highly-anticipated ‘I Believe’ concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval tonight. The Zain-sponsored concert will see local musicians like Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Mowzey & Weasel, Peter Miles and GNL Zamba perform.

Kelly is escorted by a 30-member team for the concert expected to become one of the biggest ever in the country.
The Zain Marketing Manager (Consumer and Pay Phone), Mr Levi Nyakundi said; “With one day left to the concert, everything is on track.” “Everyone is assured of a great concert.”

The concert at Lugogo starts at 7 pm but before R. Kelly thrills his fans, the American will donate music equipment to Children’s Cultural Programme at the National Theatre.

Natukunda, who completed a degree in SWASA at Bugema University last year, was announced winner of the Shs200m car in a raffle held live on UBC on Wednesday night.

An excited Natukunda screamed down the telephone when contacted by Zain staff on TV. She stays in Kamwokya with her sister and says she doesn’t intend to sell the car although she would like to go back to school and pursue masters.
“I don’t need to sell the car; my family will help me where I fail,” she said. “I have my brothers abroad and my father has cows so we can sell milk to fuel the car and maintenance.”

The soft-spoken Natukunda will have to pick her prize car from the airport.

R. Kelly will be travelling in the state-of-the-art car during his stay in Uganda and will hand over the car keys and log book to her at Entebbe airport just before flying back to the US on Saturday.
