Habari wadau, mnaweza kuwa mmesahau au hamjaweza kupata habari hizi za Annual engineers day, 2012, lakini kwa kuwa JF ni kila kitu nimeonelea niwakumbushe.

The Engineers Registration Board (ERB) is pleased to inform the engineering community and the general public that the 10[SUP]th [/SUP]Annual Engineers Day (AED 2012) will be held on Thursday and Friday, September 6 and 7, 2012 at Mlimani City Conference Hall, along Sam Nujoma Road, Dar es Salaam. The AED is a major convergence point of all engineers from all disciplines of engineering practices; whereby engineers meet to discuss a theme of interest to the nation, share experience and draw recommendations that are forwarded to relevant authorities for implementation. The major activities of this years’ event shall include:
  • Paper Presentations and Discussions;

  • Exhibitions of Technologies – whereby various organizations will be invited to exhibit their technologies and engineering services; and
  • Awarding distinguished Engineers and Best Graduating Engineering Students from local engineering institutions.
The theme of discussion will be: Engineering Opportunities in the Great Lakes and SADC Regional Markets: Prospects, Challenges and the Way Forward” Sub-themes shall cover the following sectors of discussion: (i)ICT Infrastructure; (ii)Industrialization & Extractive Industry; (iii)Human Institutional Capacity Needs; (iv) Legal Framework for Free movement of Professionals; (v)Water & Energy; (vi)Cross-cutting issues on HIV-AIDS; Leadership & Governance A Key Note Address on “Highlights on Opportunities for Engineers in the Great Lakes & SADC Region” will precede the discussions. All professional engineers who will attend this event will have an added advantage of scoring 16 Professional Development Units (PDUs) in their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program. CPD is a prerequisite for all practicing engineers. Confirmation of participation is through payment of registration fee of Tshs. 250,000/= per participant. The deadline for confirmation is August 15, 2012. Those who register after this date will pay Tshs. 270,000/= per participant, Payable to Engineers Registration Board, NBC Corporate Branch A/C No: 011103007180.ERB should be notified through bank payment slip .
