ROM(READ ONLY MEMORY) ni chip ambayo ipo kwenye simu yako kwa ajili ya kuifadhi software/firmware kwa android na apps etc ambavyo havibadilishiki, i.e game kwa mazingira ya kawaida,
Custom ROMs ni ile ambayo mtumiaji ataiandaa ama kubadilisha iliyopo kutokana na matwaka yake,yaani ametoa iliyokuwepo akaimodify kwa process ambayo ndio ROOTING(same as Jailbraking kwa iOS for Apple ie iPad ... ama hacking kwa Windows) na kuiweka tena kwenye simu,

Sasa basi ROOT ni mchakato(process) ya kuweza kupata uwezo wa vile ambavyo havipatikani wala kuonekana kwa mtumiaji wakawaida hasa hasa upande wa OPERATING SYSTEM na HARDWARE!,(mostly on booting(boot-loader)) ama CMOS kwa pc)

Ku upgrdade manual fanya yafuatayo
1.Download SuperoneClick na i save
2.Unganisha cm yako kwenye pc husika na hakikisha ipo kwenye USB debugging mode off pia unmount Storage na hakikisha pia simu ina 25MB ama zaidi
3.install the software above
4.click on rooting buttom scroll on activity log and check all log ok and ignore all warnings,
5.itachukua muda kidogo ikimaliz zima cm yako wash tena,now you device is free,u can do anything you want.


To install the said firmware

Step 1: Download the official ice cream sandwitch
firmware and download ODIN,Extract the LPQ firmware zip file
inside a new folder on your desktop.
Step 2: Switch off your Galaxy S2 and re-
insert its battery. Now boot your Galaxy S2
in Download mode by pressing the Volume
Down + Home + Power button
simultaneously. Your phone will then show
you a warning. Simply skip the warning by
pressing the Volume Up button.
Step 3: Start ODIN, and then connect
your Galaxy S II to your PC. ODIN will
then detect your phone, and display a
random COM:ID number inside a glowing
rectangle box. Click on the ‘PDA’ button,
and select the ‘I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_
I9100XXLPQ_HOME.tar.md5’ file. It is the
only file inside the zip file that you
downloaded in Step 1 above.
Step 4: Do not touch any other option.
Simply press the Start button and wait for
ODIN to flash the firmware.
The firmware is pretty big (500+MB
extracted), and so ODIN will take some
time to flash it. The first boot after the
flash will also take considerable time. It
took nearly 10minutes for my Galaxy S II
to start after I flashed the firmware.
Update: Added some mirrors for the
firmware download link. For root access,
download and flash Siyah Kernel LPQ and
flash via ODIN.
Update 2: If your phone is stuck at the S
boot logo for more than 15 mins, re-insert
the battery and re-do the steps mentioned
above.

Kwanza kuhusu ku Root Download app inayo itwa Z4 Root hii ita root simu yako kwa click chache tu.
BAADA YA KUDOWNLOAD Z4 ROOT, IFUNGUE NA BOFYA SEHEMU YA ROOT KISHA REBOOT SIMU YAKO. ikiwaka angalia app list kama ukiona kuna app imeongezeka inayoitwa SUPER USER hapo tayari utakua ume root simu yako.

Sasa tukija kuhusu kubadilisha ROM kuna njia mbili
1. Kwa kutumia computer
2. kwa kutumia simu pekee.
Binafsi nafahamu njia ya simu pekee.
Root simu yako then leta feedback tuendelee na darasa.
