Who are we?
Tanzania Gender Networking Programme (TGNP) is a non governmental organisation which advocates for a transformed Tanzanian society where there is gender equality, equity and social justice. Our overall objective is to build a transformative feminist social movement that is interactive, diversely engaging, and empowering through challenging and claiming changes in policies, institutional structures and processes at all levels. Our main strategies include policy analysis and research, training and capacity building, information generation packaging and sharing, lobbying and advocacy, coalition building and networking.

We are looking for innovative, committed and dynamic team players who can influence significant social, political and economic positive change to women and men of today and future generations. CARE Tanzania policy on internal recruitment accords first priority to current staff in order to capitalize on our experienced human resource base and meet the self-development needs of serving CARE staff. However, it is ideal to discuss with their superiors before filing their applications so that their move does not catch their superiors by surprise and cripple the operations of projects.

Project Water & Sanitation Engineer (Short Term) – One Position – DSM

Reporting to the Project Manager of Community Water supply and Sanitation Project(CWSSP), the Project Engineer is primarily responsible for Conducting Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) prior to implementation of community water and sanitation schemes, designing water supply schemes, Liaise with District Water Engineer to develop water and sanitation facilities, Supervise contractors during implementation of community water schemes to ensure that they fulfill their tasks as per contractual agreements, Prepare and issue payment certificates to contractors, Re-design of water and sanitation schemes where necessary and compiling Monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports, The position will be involved significantly in technical activities. To qualify for this position the applicant should have proven working experience in water projects desirably with local government authorities, water authorities, community water schemes, local water engineers and contractors. The applicant MUST be registered by Engineers Registration Board (ERB) and a graduate in Civil Engineering (Water Resources)
