Who are we?
Tanzania Gender Networking Programme (TGNP) is a non governmental organisation which advocates for a transformed Tanzanian society where there is gender equality, equity and social justice. Our overall objective is to build a transformative feminist social movement that is interactive, diversely engaging, and empowering through challenging and claiming changes in policies, institutional structures and processes at all levels. Our main strategies include policy analysis and research, training and capacity building, information generation packaging and sharing, lobbying and advocacy, coalition building and networking.

A business entity specialising in roads and buildings construction using alternative technologies is looking for young, energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated fresh graduate (trainee) for its new office. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS.

First degree in engineering: Roads and Building Construction.

SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Conduct sites survey and/or inspections
• Attend meetings, take notes and act based on resolutions.
• Prepare reports as and when required.
• Prepare quotations (BOQ) and tender documents.
• Ensure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting’s closing process.
• Manage all administrative and office related functions

KNOWLEDGE // SKILLS // EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Must have above average computer skills (MS Office & Project).
• Must posses the ability to read and interpret prints/specs, technical writing, and organizational skills.
• Experienced in supplier interaction.
• Project management experience including budget and team responsibilities.
• Exposure in environment and utilization of engineering principles.
MENTAL DEMANDS
Ability to handle multiple priorities, stress, detailed work, reasoning, deadlines. Must be flexible, analytical, and posses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Will be interacting with multiple stakeholders/partners with diverse cultural backgrounds and working independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Exposed to a plant environment - noise and fumes, Site survey and visits –field works and Frequent travel to sites

IPPF is the strongest global voice safeguarding sexual and reproductive health and rights for people everywhere. IPPF has Member Associations (MAs) in 182 countries worldwide with 44 MAs in Sub-Saharan Africa forming the Africa Region.

Together with a team of skilled professionals the Programmes Director will take the lead role in developing, coordinating and managing technical Programme support to our Member Associations in line with the IPPF Strategic Framework. The Director will report to the Regional Director, and build strategic alliances with key stakeholders and promote the image and visibility of IPPFARs programmes.

The ideal candidate from sub-Saharan Africa must have at least 10 years experience in both international health or development and managing a team of skilled professionals within Africa; you must have a relevant post- graduate degree and a keen grasp of sexual and reproductive health and rights in Africa. Sound cultural and political sensitivity along with excellent communication skills – verbal and written are essential. Fluency in English and French is essential. Knowledge of Portuguese would be advantage.
