NAIROBI, Kenya: Four people have been killed after a police helicopter crashed at Kibiku forest within Ngong.Witnesses at the scene said the chopper caught fire on impact.

Unconfirmed reports said top government officials may have been on board the police chopper.

The police helicopters are usually used by government officials.

Kenya's Internal Security ministerProf George Saitoti, his deputy Orwa Ojode and five others are feared dead when a Police chopper crashed in Kibiku area in Ngong forest at 9am on Sunday, according to police sources.

The two were heading to Orwa Ojode's Ndhiwa Constituency for a fundraising.

Other passengers on board were the ministers' bodyguards and two pilots

It's exactly four years when a chopper carrying MPs Kipkalya Kones and Lorna Laboso crashed in Narok.

According to an eye witness, the helicopter was seen diving from the sky and full of smoke before crushing and exploding into flames.

"The Chopper was filled with smoke before it crashed. I heard two explosions as it went up in flames," said Rose Kwamboka.

some of this assumptions from a speculative angle are a mediocre explanation in themselves. Just let the dead be, so far its evident Tanzanians have no clue about Kenyan politics worse insinuating political assasinations. I will never comment on Tanzanian politics to the detail as i dont understand how it feels, likewise dont purvey shrewed analysis with a gloomy assasination picture at this sad hour. For a major Church-fundraising in Ndiwa Constituency of which Hon Joshua Orwa Ojode was Member of Parliement for two terms. Thousands of his constituents from all over Kenya-Country were waiting at the Church for these two gentlemen, and only got news about the air-crash hours after.

That such a large sum of money ( by some reports about Tsh10Million) was untouched should disabuse some of those nasty insulting notions purveyed by wtz about Kenya - our banks are legally obliged to exchange defaced Notes for new ones, and no questions asked.

Hon George Saitoti life will be celebrated during his internship in a few days, and his history will be illuminated. Suffice to say right now that Hon. George Saitoti has no connections of geneology with Tanzania of any sort. This outlandish claim is not any surprising, being just one of all those others that have labelled him a Gikuyu, a half-Masai ( if there is any such a mongrel), a Turkana, a Kalenjin.

At this moment, Kenyans look at his public history, both good and bad, real and imagined, no different than would be with any other political leader, and we mourn him as a Kenyan that made his contribution to our greatness as a Nation.

One is impressed by wtz persistent attempts to explain all occurrences in Kenya through some very hazy prisms of tribes in Kenya!! If they must do so, at least some appropriate education on the subject would be important, eh?

Delta4, with due respect, ungeweza kumuelewesha aliyeuliza kuhusu that large sum of money bila kuegemea ukuta wa TZ/Kenya. Africa nzima including Kenya na Tanzania tuna tatizo la hela nyingi kuwa 'outside the official channel' in the sense that Taxation is out of the equation. Iwe church or whatever fundraising lazima tukubali kuna mambo hatujayafanyia kazi when it comes to handling money.

About speculation za vifo, I guantee you sio tu wa-tz hapa JF wanao-speculate, hii iko Tanzania kama ambavyo iko Kenya. Plus it happens everywhere especially when it is an accident involvig a publc figure.
