I think u need to convince us that JK can do what he is promising coz honestly i don't see much he has done for the past 5 years,In 2004 we used to be the leading in road infrastructure in East Africa am not sure if its the case now with Nairobi.
We can not develop by simply mere words from somones mouth,we need actions!

Hamna haja ya kuweka flyovers wakati sehemu nyingine za nchi hazifikiki hata kwa barabara za vumbi, it takes an idiot to do that.

Naona unazunguka mbuyu tu!

Halafu mkitoka kwenye kushangaa maendeleo ya wenzetu mnafurumuka mbio kwenda kukampenia CCM ibakie madarakani for another 5 years... as if miaka 35 bado haitoshi...!!! khalas

In the comments to this article lies clues to our underdevelopment. The first is a comment such as flyover who needs them we need to focus first on other areas. Have you people been in Dar traffic after 4pm or do all of you guys live in other cities. The main reason for the traffic is the intersections, this is exactly the point of flyovers.

Now let me explain why they are extremely important. We need to start looking at the economy like a company. The company needs to be efficient especially in the most profitable division. In this case the most profitable division is Dar es Salaam. If there is some issue preventing the most profitable division from working effectively it is basically massive lost revenue for the company (think GDP growth, revenue). If we looked at things more from a corporate perspective we would always ask what is the return on investment, and is this a long or short term maturity project? (how soon will I make my money back). Think about it, if $300 million of flyovers improve the Tanzanian GDP by 2% per year thats an addition $480 million in the economy per year. The government gets 20% or $80 million. The project pays for itself in 7 years (interest included).

Here is my next issue. The whole title of the article is problematic "Kenya Moving fast Ahead of Tanzania". However this is how most East Africans think. They compare themselves with mediocrity. I mean Kenya really isn't a super shinning star. However, it seems that is what Tanzania is aiming for, catching up with Kenya.

I have a saying, if you aim for below average, you will get mediocre. However, if you reach for the stars, you just may get something nice.

DREAM BIG TANZANIA. Mungu Loves You, allow yourself to be bright shinning stars in all areas. It will only happen once you allow yourself to be it. You are the only thing standing in your way.

ccm/jk is not lagging behind in terms of economic development and prosperity of tanzania.
Remember jk has promised the following during his recent campaign rallies:
      1. Kigoma will be developed and transformed and become the dubai of africa.
      2. There will be a ultra-modern metro train in dar linking it with its surbubs
      3. There will be a massive construction of the kigamboni "golden-gate" bridge
      4. Mwanza will be transformed and become africa's amsterdam
      5. Fly overs will be at all intersections of main roads in dar. (engineers who designed dallas fly overs have already been consulted.
      6. Shinyanga will get its own university.
      7. Mbamba bay port will be transformed into africa's most modern inland port.
      And more to come.
What else do you fellas want?
Ccm/jk have been tirelessly working hard to make sure all these projects are due for completion in the next 2-3 years.
