The government has launched an investigation to establish the truth about political parties said to have been receiving dirty money from developed countries sponsors contrary to the governing laws. Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda made the announcement yesterday when responding to a supplementary question in the National Assembly from Nkasi North MP, Ali Kessi Mohamed (CCM).

The legislator had wanted the government to clarify on legal actions it is taking on politicians and political parties receiving dirty money for their political activities. Pinda acknowledged that the government was already working on the issue after receiving tips.

“We will investigate the matter as much as possible to determine those involved and possibly take legal action against them,” he said. The government statement comes a few days after the ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) accused the opposition Chama Cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (CHADEMA) of receiving money from donors for its operations countrywide, but were also unscrupulously soliciting donations from the already impoverished wananchi. Speaking to Journalists in Dar es Salaam, CCM Ideology and Publicity Secretary, Nape Nauye had claimed that CHADEMA has received billions of shillings from its donors for the party’s ongoing operations.

“The most insidious thing is that they don’t even tell their fellow party leaders and their members about the sources of the billions…” the secretary alleged and that the opposition party did deceptively, on several occasions, conduct fundraising functions. “…we need to ask ourselves, why these funds are provided to CHADEMA …Why is this fund being hidden even from leaders of the party?”

he added. The secretary called upon the party to clarify the source of funding but warned that should it fail, CCM will publicise the confidential contract which they claim to have in their possession. But John Mnyika, CHADEMA Director of Information and Publicity denied the allegations, claiming that such information is a ploy to weaken the party’s ongoing publicity campaign titled, ‘People’s Power’ in contributing the Movement for Change (M4C) operation. He termed the CCM claims as ‘dirty propaganda’ and a sign of, in his words, distress over CHADEMA’s apparently growing popularity.

Hatuna serikali baaali ni uoza wa serikali. Pinda huwa hana maamuzi yenye hekima na busara.Huwa ni mkurupukaji na siku zote anaonekana kuongozwa na hisia,jazba na ushabiki wa kisiasa! Inasikitisha sana pale PM anapocharuka na kushupalia mambo ambayo hayana tija kwa Taifa! Hili la kusema sijui uchunguzi wa pesa chafu za CDM ni ujinga na ubabaishaji wa kutaka kupoteza malengo na ku-deal na very sensitive issues kama Uchunguzi wa Mamilioni ya Pesa yaliyoko nje kwenye mabenki ambazo ni pesa za walipa kodi wa Tanzania lakini zimetoroshwa au kupatikana kwa njia haramu! Badala ya kushughulikia issue kama hiyo PM mzima anafuatilia michango ya CDM! So what?

Watanzania wanataka kusikia pesa yao iliyotoroshwa au kuibiwa na vigogo wa serikali ya CCM na kupelekwa nje ya nchi zinarudishwa mara moja. Watu hatutaki kusikia blah blah za kutaka eti kufuatilia michango ya kina Sabodo na Watanzania wenye mapenzi na Demokrasia ya kweli wanayoichangia CHADEMA.Tunataka Pinda aanze na Andrew Chenge kwa kumwambia arudishe pesa ya rushwa iliyoko nje aliyopewa kama hongo ya RADA na BAE System ya Uingereza. Hapo tutaanza kumwelewa!

If PM Pinda is very serious with issues of money embezzlements and money laundering, let him start with our monies kept in offshore accounts in Swiss Banks. From there we can at least give him a credit,short of that he is just bluffing! Shame on you Son of a peasant!

First of all the government has to tell the wananchi quite blatantly what's the dirty monies-whether illegally or illy obtained? The government must explain whether any money obtained from overseas qualifies to be called dirty money or what it means by being termed dirty money. Then the government should widen explanation as to whether money from overseas is most perilous than ill obtained money from Tangold, Meremeta, RADA, EPA, Richmond, Dowans, Buzwagi and many other scandolous contracts which seem beyond doubt to be clouded with fishy deals. These are so many and if idealt earlier when wananchi started raising alarm we could be in such a pathetic condition as we are now.

And caution to PM and other functionaries is that they should feel ashamed to expose themselves to the extent that they so weak that that dirty money got transacted in our banking institutions without any clue until when they were waken up by CCM Publicity secretary whose level of thinking and arguing is quite questionable as it does match education level he claims to have reached. Moreiver, we who happended to school with at Master Level know him in and out that he was poor academically. In the first semister he failed scoop acceptable average in one subject and hence had to reseat for the respective subject. He conspired against the lecturer who was taking the class through such subject that he was against what is Tanzanian and in order to cement his allegations he cited a poor case example that while lecturing all bad or ill examples given are from Tanzania. The lecturer was threatened by students who had failed same subject and seeing his life being in danger decided to pack and go. So such an outdate progandist now awakens the government. To any sensible person this is an embarassment of the highest degree which shows that state machinery-piloice, intelligence department, BOT are all deadly asleep to allow dirty monies enter the pipeline

This is redulars, and should be noted that this country is not the property of ccm who can clain to have the wright to vandalize our resources the way it likes.

No matter whether cdm receives the money or not can be finger pointed under constitutional needs if all other scandles would have been well handled by ccm.

EPA even rada and other big scandles in our country has the arm of the ruling part.

ccm should not feer its own image to what will happen 2015.

And the time for kidum chama cha mapinduzi is at the cutting age towards chama cha madikteta.
