      Kwanini maji?
      Mwili wa binadamu unajumuisha asilimia 25 za vimumunyishwaji (solute) na asilimia nyingine 75 ni vimumunyishaji (solvent). Tishu za ubongo zinasemwa kuwa na mpaka asilimia 85 za maji. Wakati awamu za kudadisi mwili wa binadamu zilipoanza, sababu ya vigezo vya kisayansi na kwa uelewa mkubwa katika kemia ulipofikiwa, moja kwa moja ilikuja kudhaniwa kwamba uelewa ule ule ambao ulifikiwa katika kanuni za kikemia ukahusishwa na vimumunyishwaji vya mwili.

      Kwahiyo ilichukuliwa kuwa vimumunyishwaji (mifupa na nyama nyama za mwili) ndivyo vinavyodhibiti kazi zote za mwili. Mwanzoni kabisa mwa tafiti juu ya mwili wa binadamu, maji ya mwili yalichukuliwa tu kama kimumunyishaji, kiziba nafasi na kama njia tu ya kusafirishia – mawazo sawa na yaliyozalishwa katika majaribio ya kitesti tyubu. Hakuna kazi zingine mhimu za maji zilizojadiliwa kuhusiana na maji (the solvent). Uelewa wa msingi katika utabibu katika nyakati hizi – ambao umerithiwa toka programu za kielimu zilizoanzishwa mwanzoni katika kisomo cha mfumo (systematic learning) pia huvichukulia vimumunyishwaji (nyama na mifupa) kama ndivyo vinavyodhibiti mwili na vimumunyishaji (maji ambayo ndiyo asilimia 75 ya mwili) kama njia tu ya kusafirishia malighafi mwilini. Mwili wa binadamu sasa unafikiriwa kuwa ni testityubu kubwa iliyojazwa vitu vigumu (nyama na mifupa) vya asili tofauti tofauti.

      Katika sayansi, imedhaniwa kuwa ni vimumunyishwaji (vitu ambavyo huyeyuka au kubebwa katika damu na umajimaji ndani ya mwili) ndivyo ambavyo huzidhibiti na kuziongoza kazi zote zinazofanywa na mwili. Hii inajumuisha pia udhibiti wa kiasi cha maji cha mwili (the solvent) ambacho mpaka sasa imefikiriwa kuwa kinadhibitiwa vizuri na mwili. Imedhaniwa hivyo sababu maji yanapatikana kirahisi tu na hayauzwi kivile, hivyo mwili hauwezi kupungukiwa na kitu ambacho kinapatikana kirahisi!.

      Chini ya dhana hii potofu, tafiti zote kuhusu mwili wa mwanadamu zimeelekezwa katika kutafiti kitu chochote fulani ambacho kinadhaniwa ndicho kinachosababisha ugonjwa fulani. Kwahiyo, vyote vinavyodhaniwa kuwa na uwezekano wa kusababisha ugonjwa fulani na mabadiliko ya kielementi vimejaribiwa bila suluhisho lenye jibu moja hata katika ugonjwa fulani mmoja. Kwa hali ilivyo, matibabu yote ni kwa ajili ya kutuliza au kupunguza maumivu tu na siyo yenye uwezo wa kuponya au kutokomeza tatizo (isipokuwa kwa maambukizi ya bakteria na kwa matumizi ya viua vijasumu/antibiotics). Shinikizo la juu la damu/BP bado halitibiki, wagonjwa wa BP huishi wakitibiwa mpaka watakapokufa, matibabu na uangalifu juu ya BP vinaendelea kuwa sehemu ya maisha ya mtu. Pumu/asthma haitibiki, dawa vipumuzi (inhalers) ni marafiki wa waathirika wa asthma. Vidonda vya tumbo havitibiki dawa za kudhibiti asidi (antiacids) ni lazima ziwe karibu na mgonjwa. Mizio/aleji haitibiki, waathirika muda wote wanaishi kwa dawa. Maumivu ya mishipa hayatibiki na hatimaye inaweza kumfanya mtu kiwete na kadharika.

      Kwa kuegemea dhana hii ya mwanzo juu ya kazi za maji mwilini, imekuja kuzoeleka kuchukulia kitendo cha mdomo uliokauka kuwa ndiyo ishara za mwili kuhitaji maji au kuwa na kiu cha maji ambayo imedhaniwa zaidi kuwa yanadhibitiwa vizuri ikiwa hisia za kukauka mdomo hazitokei – kwa sababu pengine maji ni bure na yanapatikana kirahisi. Hili ni kosa la kipuuzi na ni dhana inayoleta mkanganyiko mkubwa katika taaluma ya kitabibu na ndiyo inayohusika katika suala zima la kukosa mafanikio katika kupata suluhisho la kudumu katika kuzuia na kuponya magonjwa katika mwili pamoja na tafiti zote hizo na zenye gharama kubwa.

      Dr. Batmanhelidj tayari amechapisha chapisho lake juu ya utafiti wa ki-kliniki wakati alipotibu zaidi ya watu 3000 waathirika wa vidonda vya tumbo kwa kutumia maji pekee. Anasema aligunduwa kwa mara ya kwanza katika taaluma ya kitabibu kuwa ugonjwa huu maarufu wa vidonda vya tumbo ukiitika wenyewe kwa maji pekee. Ki-kliniki inajitokeza hali hiyo kufanana na ‘ugonjwa kiu’. Chini ya mazingira hayo hayo na katika mazingira ya ki-kliniki, dalili zingine za magonjwa zilionekana zikiitika zenyewe kwa maji pekee. Utafiti mkubwa umethibitisha uchunguzi wa ki-kliniki wa dr.Batman kwamba mwili una miliki ishara changamano kabisa za ishara za kiu – mfumo ishara shirikiano wakati wa udhibiti wa kiasi cha maji kinachopatikana wakati wa upungufu wa maji mwilini (dehydration).

      Kwa mjibu wa maelezo ya dr.B, kanuni zinazodhibiti tafiti kuhusu afya ya mwili wa binadamu ni lazima zibadilishwe ikiwa tunataka kuyashinda magonjwa. Ukweli unajionesha wazi sasa kuwa taaluma ya madawa inaegemea katika dhana za uongo na vigezo visivyo kamili. La! sivyo, inawezekanaje mfumo mchafuko wa ishara kwa ajili ya umetaboli wa maji ukosekane? au udharauriwe kidhahiri kwa muda mrefu hivi? kwa muda uliopo; ‘mdomo uliokauka’ ndiyo ishara pekee inayokubalika kama ishara ya upungufu wa maji ya mwili. Kama ilivyofafanuliwa, ishara hii ya mdomo ukauke ni ishara ya mwisho kabisa ya mwili kuhitaji maji. Madhara makubwa kiafya yanajitokeza mwilini kabla ya ishara ya mdomo kukauka. Watafiti wa mwanzo watakuwa walitambuwa kuwa ili kuwezesha tendo la kutafuna na kumeza, mate huzarishwa hata kama sehemu zingine za mwili zimepungukiwa na kiasi kikubwa cha maji.

      Upungufu sugu wa maji mwilini (chronic dehydration) ndio chanzo cha magonjwa mengi kwa mwili wa binadamu ambayo kisababishi chake kilikuwa hakijulikani mpaka sasa. Rejea katika kitabu chochote cha kitabibu utaona kurasa nyingi zenye maelezo mzunguko, lakini linapokuja suala la kutoa sababu katika magonjwa makuu ya mwili, jibu kwa hali zote ni sare na fupi kabisa: ‘sababu za chanzo chake hazijulikani’ (etiology unknown).

      Kwa asili, upungufu sugu wa maji mwilini unamaanisha upungufu wa kudumu wa maji ambao umedumu kwa muda fulani. Kama ilivyo kwa maradhi ya upungufu wa kiini lishe fulani, mfano upungufu wa vitamini C kwa ugonjwa wa kiseyeye (scurvy), upungufu wa vitamini B kwa ugonjwa wa beriberi au upungufu wa madini ya chuma kwa ugonjwa wa anemia, upungufu wa vitamini D kwa ugonjwa wa matege/nyongea na mengine unayoyafahamu; namna mahususi ya kutibu magonjwa hayo ni kurudishia kilichopunguwa. Kwa mjibu huu, ikiwa tutaanza kutambua mkanganyiko wa kiafya uletwao na upungufu wa maji, uzuiwaji wake na hata uponyekaji wake wa mwanzo utakuwa ni rahisi.

      Wakati mwili wa binadamu ulipokua toka katika spishi (species) ambazo zilipewa maisha katika maji, utegemezi sawa wa sifa ya maji katika uzima ulirithiwa. Umhimu wa maji katika miili ya spishi hai akiwemo binadamu haujabadilika tangu uumbwaji wa kwanza wa maisha katika maji chumvi na hatimaye katika kuzoea kwake katika maji baridi.

      Wakati maisha yalipoanza kufanyika katika ardhi, kuliundwa mfumo maalumu ili kudhibiti kiasi maalumu cha maji mwilini kwa ajili ya makuzi zaidi ya spishi. Prosesi hii ya mabadiliko ya muda ya kuzoea mazingira ya kubana matumizi ya maji ilirithiwa na kuwa kama mfumo uliojijenga vizuri katika mwili wa binadamu na ndio sasa ni muundombinu mhimu katika mifumo ya ufanyaji kazi ndani ya mwili wa binadamu wa nyakati hizi.

      Menejimenti ya kiasi kidogo cha maji kinachopatikana mwilini ikatokea kuwa ni jukumu la mfumo mkanganyiko (complex system). Usawa huu wa mfumo mkanganyiko wa mgawo na usambazaji wa maji hubaki katika kazi hiyo mpaka mwili utakapopata ishara kamili zisizo na shaka yeyote za kupatikana kwa maji ya kutosha. Kwakuwa kila kazi ya mwili hudhibitiwa na kutupwa katika mtiriiriko wa maji, ‘menejimenti ya maji’ ndiyo namna pekee ya kuhakikisha kwamba kiasi cha kutosha cha maji na viini lishe vinavyosafirishwa nayo, kinayafikia kwanza ogani mhimu ambazo zinatakiwa kukabiliana na mfadhaiko wowote mpya. Mfumo huu umejitokeza zaidi na zaidi kwa ajili ya kuendelea kuishi dhidi ya maadui wa asili na wawindaji wengine wa afya ya binadamu. Ni mfumo mhimu kabisa katika mazingira ya kutaka kupaa ama kupigana: bado ni mfumo unaoendelea hata katika maisha yetu ya uchumi wa soko huria.

      Tunaweza kufupisha hapa kuwa, kutokana na mazoea yetu ya kusubiri kiu au mdomo ukauke ndipo tunywe maji, huwa tunaulazimisha mwili kuishi katika mfumo wa mgawo wa maji na hatimaye usambazwaji wake, mfumo huo ndio huleta balaa mwilini kwa kuzarisha ishara mbalimabali za magonjwa ambayo dawa yake pekee ni kubadilika kwetu na kuanza kunywa maji kabla ya kusikia kiu na kujifunza umhimu wa maji kwa maisha marefu bila magonjwa.

      UNAWEZA KUJITIBU KWA KUNYWA MAJI TU!



      Bila shaka kila mtu anafahamu umuhimu wa maji, lakini si watu wote wanafahamu kuwa maji ni dawa pia, licha ya kutumika kwa ajili ya kunywa ili kukata kiu.


      Nchini Japani na nchi nyingine nyingi za bara la Asia, ni jambo la kawaida kwa watu wake kunywa maji kwanza asubuhi kabla ya kula kitu chochote, tabia hii ina faida kubwa kwa afya ya binadamu na hata utafiti wa kisayansi uliokwishafanywa, umethibitisha thamani ya maji katika kuponya, kuzuia au kudhibiti magonjwa kadhaa yanayosumbua watu wengi.

      Chama Cha Madaktari cha Japan (Japanese Medical Society) kimethibitisha kuwa maji yana uwezo wa kutibu, kwa asilimia 100, magonjwa sugu na maarufu yafuatayo, iwapo mtu atafuata kanuni na taratibu za kunywa maji hayo kama tiba:

      Kuumwa kichwa, maumivu ya mwili, mfumo wa moyo, moyo kwenda mbio, kifafa, uzito mkubwa, pumu, kifua kikuu, uti wa mgongo, ugonjwa wa figo, magonjwa ya mkojo, kutapika, vidonda vya tumbo, kuharisha, kisukari, saratani, ukosefu wa choo, mataizo ya macho, tumbo, hedhi, sikio, pua, nk.

      JINSI YA KUTUMIA MAJI KAMA TIBA
      Ili maji yatumike kama tiba, kunywa kiasi cha lita moja na robo (glasi nne kubwa) ya maji safi na salama (yasiwe maji baridi) asubuhi na mapema kabla ya jua kuchomoza na kabla ya kupiga mswaki.

      Baada ya kunywa kiasi hicho cha maji, usile wala kunywa kitu kingine hadi baada ya dakika 45 au saa moja. Baada ya muda huo, sasa unaweza kusafisha kinywa na kula mlo wako wa asubuhi kama kawaida.

      Aidha, mara baada ya kula mlo wako wa subuhi, usile wala kunywa kitu chochote hadi baada ya muda wa saa mbili kupita. Hivyo hivyo utafanya baada ya mlo wako wa mchana au jioni.

      Kwa wale wagonjwa ambao hawawezi kunywa kiasi cha maji cha lita 1 na robo kwa wakati mmoja, wanaweza kuanza kwa kunywa na kiasi kidogo watakachoweza na kuongeza taratibu hadi kufikia kiwango hicho cha glasi nne kwa siku.

      Utaratibu huu wa kunywa maji ulioelezwa hapo juu, una uwezo wa kutibu maradhi yaliyotajwa hapo awali na kwa wale ambao hawana maradhi yoyote, basi wataimarisha afya zao zaidi na kujipa kinga itakayowafanya waishi maisha yenye afya bora zaidi.

      UNAWEZA KUPONA BAADA YA MUDA GANI?
      Yafuatayo ni baadhi ya magonjwa na idadi ya siku zake za kuponya zikiwa kwenye mabano kama ilivyothibitishwa na watafiti:

      Shinikizo la damu (High Blood Pressure) (siku 30), Vidonda vya tumbo (siku 10), Kisukari (siku 30), saratani (siku 180) na Kifua Kikuu (siku 90).

      Kwa mujibu wa watafiti, tiba hii haina madhara yoyote, hata hivyo katika siku za mwanzo utalazimika kukojoa mara kwa mara. Ni bora kila mtu akiwa akajiwekea mazoea ya kunywa maji kwa utaratibu huu kila siku katika maisha yake yote ili kujikinga na maradhi mbalimbali.

      TIBA KWA KUTUMIA MAJI HUFANYIKA HIVI:

      MAMBO YA KUZINGATIA KABLA YA KUANZA TIBA YA MAJI:

      Kanuni ya kimakisio kwa mahitaji ya maji ni; kunywa nusu ya uzito wako katika aunsi (ounces) ugawe mara mfululizo utakaoufuata kwa siku nzima. Kiasi kidogo chini au juu ya hiki, kinakubalika. Aunsi 1=miligramu 31.25

      Kanuni ya kimakisio kwa mahitaji ya chumvi ni, Robo tatu gramu za chumvi kwa kila nusu lita ya maji, nusu kijiko cha chakula kwa kila nusu galoni ya maji au kijiko kimoja cha chakula kwa kila galoni moja la maji.


      Pengine umeshageuza kichwa na kunisema, “Wewe ni kichaa.....hicho ni kiasi kingi sana cha maji”. Ukweli ni kuwa, ni rahisi kunywa hivyo hasa tukitumia sentensi, glasi 8 za maji zikigawanywa mara nane kwa siku (glasi 1 = ml ujazo wa maji utakaotakiwa kunywa kwa wakati mmoja).


      Mfano, kwa mtu mwenye uzito wa kilogramu 75:

      ·
      Badili kilogramu kwenda aunsi kwa kuzidisha mara 2.2. Hivyo, 75x2.2=aunsi 165.

      · Tafuta nusu ya aunsi kwa kugawa aunsi na 2. Hivyo, aunsi 165/2=aunsi 82.5.

      · Gawanya mara mfululizo utakaoamua kuufuata kwa siku nzima, mfano mara 8 kwa siku. Kwa hiyo aunsi 82.5/8=aunsi 10.3.

      · Badili aunsi kuwa miligramu za maji. Aunsi 1=miligramu 31.25. Kwa hiyo aunsi 10.3x31.25=miligramu 322.
      Kwa hiyo itampasa mtu huyo mwenye uzito kilo 75, kunywa ml 322 za maji mara nane kwa siku.

      Namna anavyopaswa kufuata hiyo ratiba mara 8 kwa siku:

      1) Akiamka tu (mfano saa 12 kamili asubuhi), cha kwanza atakunywa maji ml 322. ataendelea na shughuli zake za asubuhi

      2) Nusu saa kabla ya chakula cha asubuhi (yaani saa 12:30 asubuhi), atakunywa maji ml 322. atasubiri nusu saa ipite ndipo atapata chakula chake cha asubuhi (itakuwa saa 1 kamili asubuhi).


      3) Kisha kula chakula cha asubuhi, atahesabu masaa 2 na nusu ndipo atakunywa tena maji ml 322 (itakuwa saa 3 na nusu asubuhi).


      4) Atahesabu masaa 2 tena ndipo atakunywa tena ml 322 nusu saa kabla ya chakula cha mchana (itakuwa saa 6 mchana) kwa hiyo nusu saa baadaye atakula chakula cha mchana (yaani saa 6 na nusu mchana).


      5) Atahesabu yapite masaa 2 na nusu baada ya chakula cha mchana ndipo atakunywa tena maji ml 322 (itakuwa saa 9 kamili alasiri).


      6) Atahesabu masaa 2 na nusu yapite ndipo atakunywa maji ml 322 nusu saa kabla ya chakula cha jioni (itakuwa saa 11 na nusu jioni). Nusu saa baadaye atakula chakula cha jioni (itakuwa saa 12 kamili jioni).


      7) Kisha kula chakula cha jioni, atahesabu masaa 2 na nusu tena ndipo atakunywa tena maji ml 322 (itakuwa saa 2 na nusu usiku).


      8) Muda wowote atakapokwenda kulala kuanzia saa 4 usiku atakunywa tena maji ml 322 kumalizia mara 8 zake kwa siku.


      Huyo alikuwa na kilo 75, sasa na wewe andika uzito wako na utumie fomula hiyo hapo juu ujuwe ni kiasi gani cha maji unahitaji kwa siku na kisha ufuate mara hizo 8 kama zilivyopendekezwa hapo juu. Kwa staili hii ndipo maji huwa ni zaidi ya dawa.

      Kumbuka, Kunywa maji nusu ya uzito wako katika aunsi ni kiasi cha chini kabisa, lakini mahala pazuri pa kuanzia, ikiwa ni mtu unayejishughurisha zaidi na mazoezi au unaishi katika mazingira ya joto zaidi, utahitaji zaidi ya hapo.


      Sasa, hutakubali kuwa kunywa maji kwa protokolo hii ni kazi rahisi?.


      Ikiwa haunywi kiasi hiki cha maji kwa sasa, unapaswa kuanza kuongeza kiasi cha ziada kwa taratibu sana. Hii itaupa nafasi mwili kujirekebisha kuendana na kiasi ulichoanza kukiongeza, na ikiwa hautaupa mwili muda wa kujirekebisha, basi maji yatakuwa kama dawa ya kukojosha (diuretic), yakisukuma madini na vitamini za mhimu nje ya mwili, pengine na kukusababishia madhara zaidi kuliko faida.


      Watu wazee na watoto wadogo wanatakiwa kuanza kuongeza maji kufikia mahitaji yao kwa taratibu zaidi.

      Kwa kutumia mfano wa uzito hapo juu, itakupasa kuanza na glasi 3 siku ya kwanza huku ukiongeza glasi moja zaidi kila siku inayofuata mpaka ufikie glasi zote 8.

      Kumbuka kuwa,
      kunywa maji nusu ya uzito wako katika aunsi na kula chumvi robo tatu gramu kwa kila nusu lita ya maji, ni kanuni ya kimakisio tu. Baadhi ya wengine watahitaji maji zaidi wakati wengine watahitaji chumvi zaidi. Baada ya muda, mahitaji ya mwili kwa maji na chumvi yanaweza kuongezeka kidogo zaidi sababu ya mazingira ya joto, mazingira ya baridi au mazoezi ya viungo.

      Kila mmoja lazima apate kujua kiasi cha mahitaji ya mwili wake kwa maji kuanzia sasa.


      · Kamwe usinywe zaidi ya aunsi 33.8 (lita moja) za maji kwa wakati mmoja ukiwa umekaa au umesimama.

      Watoto wadogo kuanzia miaka 2 mpaka 12, hasa wale wepesi kujishughulisha na mazoezi wanahitaji asilimia 75 mpaka 100 za aunsi za maji katika uzito wao kwa sababu miili yao inakua muda wote na kila seli katika miili yao inayokua inayahitaji maji haya ya ziada (mytosis).

      Tiba hii ya maji haitumiki kwa watoto chini ya miaka 2.

      Chumvi ya kawaida ya mezani iliyoongezwa madini ya iodini, itakusaidia kidogo, chumvi ya mawe ya baharini ambayo haijasafishwa (unrefined sea salt) ndiyo nzuri zaidi sababu ya madini mengine mengi ya ziada zaidi ya 80 yaliyomo ndani yake. Chumvi ya baharini pia huwa na radha nzuri, nyeupe na umajimaji kidogo.

      Namna bora za kula chumvi:
      · Njia ya kwanza ni kuiweka chumvi katika sehemu ya mbele ya ulimi, hakikisha unaihisi radha yake, na kisha kunywa maji juu yake yakiisafisha kuelekea chini.

      Unaweza pia kuongeza chumvi ya ziada kwenye chakula chako.Tatizo la njia hii ni kuwa, chakula kinahisika kuwa na chumvi zaidi ya radha zingine.

      Ukiona viwiko, vidole, miguu, mikono au kope za macho zinavimba (kuvimba kusikotokana na ajali au jeraha), au unaharisha zaidi, usitumie chumvi kwa siku 2 mpaka 3, kunywa maji halisi pekee na kisha siku ya tatu, endelea kuchukuwa chumvi tena, lakini ichukuliwe taratibu. Kamwe usitumie chumvi zaidi ya robo tatu gramu kwa kila nusu lita ya maji.

      chumvi ikizidi hupelekea kuharisha.

      Dr.Batmanghelidj anasema, kunywa maji matupu kunaweza pelekea mwili kupoteza baadhi ya madini na vitamini zake mhimu nje ya mwili na hivyo kutozipa seli muda wa kutosha kuyatumia maji. Inashauriwa kutumia vidonge vyenye vitamini nyingi kwa pamoja (multivitamins) katika kila mlo wako ili kurudishia kile kitakachokuwa kimepotea (hasa ikiwa haufanyi mazoezi na kula kiasi kingi cha mboga za majani).


      Uvimbe utakapokuwa umepotea au umeacha kuharisha, unaweza kuendelea na mpango wako wa kunywa maji nusu ya uzito wako katika aunsi ingawa mara hii utayachukua kwa kiasi kidogo.

      Kwa siku nzima, anza kuongeza kiasi cha unywaji wako wa maji mpaka ufikie tena nusu ya uzito wako katika aunsi, anza pia kuchukua chumvi pamoja na maji. Unatakiwa kuhakikisha kuwa unapata gramu 150 za madini ya iodine kwenye “multivitamins” zako kila siku mpaka gramu 450 kwa siku.

      Ili
      maji yaweze kukutibu na kukukinga kwa kila ugonjwa ni lazima....
      Kisha kunywa maji, maji yanapaswa kubaki ndani ya mwili masaa 2 mpaka 2 na nusu ili kuupa mwili muda wa kutosha kuyatumia maji hayo vizuri.

      Ikiwa inakulazimu kukojoa (peeing) chini ya muda wa masaa 2 tangu unywe maji, utalazimika:

      a) Kuacha kunywa maji matupu, jaribu kunywa juisi (uliyotengeneza mwenyewe) ya chungwa, ya limau, juisi ya matunda mchanganyiko, ya zabibu au juisi nyingine yeyote isipokuwa kwa watu wanaosumbuliwa na pumu (asthma) ambao hawatakiwi kunywa juisi ya chungwa.
      Wakati huo huo mhimu kukumbuka kuongeza robo tatu gramu za chumvi katika kila nusu lita ya juisi yako.

      b) Ikiwa kunywa juisi hakutasaidia kupunguza kwenda bafuni kila mara, jaribu kunywa maji huku ukila mkate. Unaweza kuongeza krimu ya siagi au jamu kwenye mkate wako (the magic bagel).

      Kisha kutumia mkate siku moja au mbili unaweza kupunguza sasa kiasi cha mkate mpaka nusu yake, robo yake na mwisho juisi pekee pamoja na mlo wako.
      Utapaswa kurudi taratibu tena kutoka kunywa maji juisi mpaka kunywa maji matupu tena, baada ya siku kadhaa itakupasa kujaribu aunsi 2 za maji matupu nusu saa kabla ya chakula, kesho yake aunsi 4, siku inayofuata itakuwa aunsi 6 kisha 8 na kuendelea mpaka ufikie kiasi chako unachotakiwa.

      c) Ikiwa kunywa maji pamoja na kula mkate au katika juisi hakukusaidii kupunguza kwenda bafuni, Glasi ya maji (ml 250) matupu ikiongezwa na kijiko (kijiko cha chakula) kimoja cha asali au sukari halisi au walau sukari nyeupe kutakutatulia tatizo hili ukiongeza na chumvi 1/8 ya kijiko cha chai , tikisa na kisha kunywa mchanganyiko huo.


      d) Hakikisha unakunywa maji kwa mjibu wa kipimo chako kulingana na uzito wako. kunywa maji mengi zaidi ya kiwango chako husababisha maji kutoka nje ya mwili mapema kabla hayajatumiwa na mwili.


      e) Achana kwanza kinywaji chochote cha kutengenezwa kiwandani, acha chai ya rangi na kahawa. vinywaji hivi ni mawakala vikojoshi (diuretics), huyalazimisha maji kutoka nje ya mwili mapema kabla mwili haujayatumia. utarudi kunywa chochote ikiwa utavihitaji tena vinywaji hivyo mara utakapokuwa supa tena kiafya. Acha pia uvutaji wowote wa sigara na alkoholi.

      Bilashaka umewahi kusikia msemo, “Kwa sehemu kubwa tumetokana na maji”, hii ndiyo sababu zaidi ya asilimia 94 ya damu yetu ni maji, zaidi ya asilimia 85 ya ubongo wetu ni maji, huku zaidi ya asilimia 75 ya sisi ni maji.

      Kwanini unywe maji robo lita, robo saa kabla ya kula, au nusu lita, nusu saa kabla ya kula?:
      Wanyama wote hunywa maji halisi (plain water). Ikiwa utawachunguza paka na mbwa, mara zote hunywa maji na kusubiri wastani wa nusu saa kabla ya kula. Ratiba inabadilika wanapokuwa wanatibiwa, hapa hunywa na kisha hula papo hapo ama baadaye.

      Mfululizo huu ni mhimu ili kubaki na afya bora.


      Unapokunywa maji na kusubiri nusu saa kabla ya kula, maji yanaenda tumboni na kuziamsha tezi kutoa kemikali (homoni) kuzifunika kuta za tumbo ili kuzirinda dhidi ya haidrokloriki asidi ambayo huzarishwa wakati chakula kinawekwa mdomoni.

      Maji na kemikali hizo kisha huenda kwenye utumbo mdogo ambako kemikali hizi hukaa kusubiri chakula kitakachokuwa kinakuja baadaye. Maji hayo huru, yanauacha utumbo mdogo na kwenda
      katika seli zote za mwili na kuzijaza (kuzinyweshea) maji kama vile unavyonywesha bustani. Baada ya seli kuwa zimenyeshewa, maji yanayobaki kisha yanasukumwa tena kwenda tumboni ili kunyeshea chakula kilichofika.

      Nguvu zetu hazitokani na vyakula tunavyokula
      , bali zinatoka katika MAJI ambayo yanaiweka atomu ya haidrojeni katika chakula.

      Tunatembea katika haidrojeni.


      Vyakula tulavyo hutupatia vitamini na madini tunayoyahitaji ili kubaki katika afya.

      Ikiwa haunywi maji halisi (glasi 1 au 2) kabla ya kula chakula na kusubiri (robo saa au nusu saa), basi mwili lazima ujikope maji wenyewe.

      Kama
      mwili utakopa maji toka katika damu, basi ateri lazima zipunguze vipenyo vyake na moyo lazima utumie nguvu nyingi ili kusukuma damu ambayo ni nene (nyingi), kitendo hiki tunakiita 'shinikizo la damu' (BP).

      Ikiwa mwili utajikopa maji toka katika ubongo, utapatwa na 'kichwa kizito' au kichwa kuuma ambacho kinaweza pelekea maumivu ya kichwa.


      Ikiwa unakunywa alikoholi (pombe) na inavuta maji toka kwenye ubongo, utapatwa na kutokujisikia vizuri au uchovu (hangover).


      Watu wanaoishi katika nchi za baridi huweka alikoholi kwenye tenki zao za gesi ili kuvuta maji ndani ya gesi na hivyo kuifanya gesi isigande.


      Kokote katika ogani au tishu mwili utakakokopa maji, lazima ogani au tishu hiyo iachiwe madhara na hivyo kusababisha maumivu ama ufanyaji kazi wa ogani au tishu hiyo usio wa kawaida kama vile kufunga choo (constipation).

      kufunga choo au kupata choo kigumu sana kunatokea wakati mwili umekopa maji toka katika utumbo mdogo na sehemu ya chini ya utumbo mpana kunakopelekea taka za mwili kusimama kwenye kuta za utumbo mdogo na sehemu ya chini ya utumbo mpana (colon). Wakati mambo yako yanapokuwa na umajimaji, huteleza yenyewe chini bila kutumia nguvu yoyote.

      Kila tunapopumuwa hewa nje (exhale) tunapoteza maji.

      Ikiwa utahema juu ya kioo, utauona ukungu (maji). Tunapoteza glasi 4 za maji kwa kupumuwa tu kila baada ya masaa 24!!.
      kama mwili utakopa maji toka mapafuni, utapatwa na pumzi fupi itakayopelekea upatwe na pumu (asthima) na matatizo mengine yanayohusiana na mfumo wa upumuwaji.

      Mapafu na Moyo vinauhusiano wa karibu, kwa hiyo kama mwili utakopa baadhi ya maji toka katika mishipa ya moyo, utapatwa na maumivu ya moyo ambayo yanaweza kurahisisha kutokea kwa shambulio la moyo (heart attack).


      Mishipa inahitaji damu na maji wakati unafanya mazoezi, kwa hiyo kama unatakiwa kula chakula na kisha kutembea au kupandisha ngazi (za ghorofa) na una upungufu wa maji (dehydrated), unaweza ukapatwa na pumzi fupi, shambulio la pumu, utapatwa na maumivu ya moyo (angina) au kukakamaa kwa mishipa (cramps).


      Ndiyo maana wanasema; kamwe usiende kuogelea mara tu baada ya kumaliza kula kwa sababu mishipa itakakamaa.

      Mwili unapokuwa katika kazi yake ya umeng'enyaji chakula, huielekeza (diverts) damu toka katika mikono na miguu kwenda katika utumbo mdogo ili kusaidia umeng'enyaji wa chakula.

      Baadhi ya vyakula ni rahisi kumeng'enywa na vinawezeshwa na maji pekee, kama vile matunda na mboga za majani.


      Vinywaji vingine (liquid beverages) kama vile kahawa, chai, soda na juisi, siyo maji kwa mwili. Hivi ni vyakula pia kwa sababu ulimi unaipata radha ya viongezi (additives) na siyo radha ya maji halisi, na hivyo tumbo litaitowa haidrokloriki asidi. Mwili utakishughurikia kinywaji hicho kama chakula.

      Utafaidika na baadhi ya maji kama vile katika matunda na mboga za majani kwa masharti ya kinywaji hicho kutokuwa na kafeina (caffeine). Kafeina ni kikojoshi (diuretic), huyalazimisha maji kutoka nje ya mwili.

      Magonjwa mengine yanayoweza kuepukika kwa kunywa maji kabla ya kula ni pamoja na vidonda vya tumbo, tumbo kunyonga, kiungulia, mafuta yaliyozidi, kansa ya utumbo mdogo, kukinaishwa na chakula, na ernia.

      Kunywa maji masaa 2 au 2 na nusu baada ya chakula kunasaidia kumalizia umeng'enyaji wa chakula na kuunywesha mwili maji baada ya kukaukiwa kulikosababishwa na kazi ya umeng'enyaji wa chakula.

      kunywa maji ya kawaida katika joto la kawaida.


      Magonjwa mengineyanayotibika au kukingika kwa kutumia tiba ya maji ni; Kansa, kisukari, kifua kikuu (TB), shinikizo la damu(BP), mfadhaiko (stress), matatizo ya moyo na kuzimia, magonjwa ya tumbo, magonjwa ya ngozi, magonjwa ya Ini, pumu (Asthima), mzio (Allergy), chunusi, homa, kupunguwa nguvu na kinga ya mwili, matatizo ya kina mama, magonjwa mengine ni pamoja na homa ya uti wa mgongo, kansa ya kizazi, kikohozi, kuharisha, kikundu, nyongo, matatizo ya tumbo, kupungua uzito, upungufu wa damu (anaemia), vichomi, vidonda vya tumbo, utipwatipwa, kuzeeka mapema, na magonjwa mengine mengi.


      Tiba hii ni nzuri kwa wote, wagonjwa watapona na wazima watabaki na afya bora na kujirinda dhidi ya maradhi kwa maisha yao yote.
