      UKOSEFU wa choo ni tatizo sugu miongoni mwa watu wengi. Bila kujua kuwa ni tatizo ambalo linahitaji tiba ya haraka, watu wengi hupuuzia na kuona siyo tatizo kubwa na ni hali ya kawaida. Ukosefu wa choo wa muda mrefu, huwa ndiyo chanzo cha magonjwa mengine hatari.

      Mtu anapokosa choo kikubwa kwa siku kadhaa, uchafu hujikusanya tumboni na unapokosa sehemu ya kutokea hukimbilia kwenye damu na kuingia kwenye mfumo mzima wa damu. Uchafu huo unapoingia kwenye mfumo wa damu huwa sumu na chanzo cha maradhi mengine ambayo hujitokeza baadae na kuanza kumuathiri mtu, bila kujua chanzo chake.

      Kwa kawaida mtu unapaswa kupata choo cha uhakika japo mara moja kwa siku, kutegemeana na mlo wake wa kila siku, unapokosa choo kwa siku nzima ili hali una kula milo yote kwa siku, elewa una tatizo katika mfumo wako wa kusaga chakula hivyo unapaswa kuchukua hatua haraka.

      MTU MWENYE TATIZO HILI ANA DALILI GANI?
      Mtu mwenye tatizo la ukosefu wa choo huwa na dalili kadhaa, ikiwemo kutumia nguvu na muda mwingi wakati wa kujisadia haja kubwa. Pili ulimi wake huwa na utandu mweupe na hutoa harufu mbaya mdomoni. Mtu huyu pia hukosa hamu ya chakula na wakati wote tumbo huwa limejaa.

      NINI HUSABABISHA TATIZO?
      Tatizo la ukosefu wa choo husababishwa zaidi na ulaji mbaya wa vyakula, kuacha kula matunda na mboga na staili mbaya ya maisha ikiwa ni pamoja na kutokunywa maji ya kutosha kwa siku.

      NINI KIFANYIKE?
      Ili kuondoa tatizo kabla halijawa sugu, fanya moja miongoni mwa haya yafuatayo: Kunywa maji ya uvuguvugu asubuhi mapema, kisha tembea tembea, baada ya muda utasikia haja ya kwenda msalani. Ili usifanye haraka na upate muda wa kutosha kujiandaa kwenda kazini, amka mapema zaidi. Kula kiasi cha kutosha cha salad ya mboga mboga na juisi ya matunda halisi asubuhi kabla ya kula chochote.

      Kila siku kabla ya kwenda kulala, kunywa maji ya uvugu yaliyochanganywa na kijiko kimoja cha asali. Kunywa maji ya uvugu yaliyochanganywa na limau asubuhi na mapema kabla hujala kitu chochote. Kunywa ‘castor Oil’ muda mfupi kabla ya kwenda kulala. Ili kujiepusha kabisa na tatizo la ukosefu wa choo, jenga mazoea ya kunywa maji mengi, kula mboga na matunda kwa wingi kila siku na kuacha kabisa ulaji wa vyakula vilivyoondolewa virutubisho kama vile mikate myeupe, ugali wa unga mweupe, keki vyakula vyenye sukari nyingi na vyakula vingine vitamu.

      Mtoto mwenye tatizo la kukosa choo huwa anapata choo wa shida huku akisumbuliwa na tumbo na kupata choo kigumu. Wakati mwingine hulia wakati akipata choo huku akijiminya na kukunja uso. Muone daktari iwapo mtoto ana umri wa chini ya mwezi mmoja na hajapata choo kwa siku 4.

      Iwapo mtoto wako mchanga au mdogo ana tatizo la kukosa choo au kupata choo kigumu kwanza wasiliana na daktari au mpeleke hospitalini ili upate ushari wa daktari. Pia unashauriwa kujaribu njia zifuatazo:

      1. Jaribu kumpa mtoto wako maji safi na salama kuanzia mililita 60 hadi 120 kwa siku. Punguza au ongeza kiasi hicho kwa kuzingatia jinsi hali ya mwanao inavyokuwa. Ni bora maji ya mtoto yachemshwe na kufunikwa vyema.

      2. Iwapo maji hayasaidii, jaribu pia kumpa juisi za matunda. Mpe mtoto wako juisi ya tufaha (apple), pea au prune iliyotengenezwa kwa kutumia maji salama na safi kila siku. Anza kwa mililita 60 hadi 120 kwa siku na punguza au ongeza kiasi hicho kwa kuzingatia jinsi hali ya mwanao inavyokuwa.

      3. Jitahidi kumpa mwanao chakula chenye ufumwele au fiber. Iwapo mwanao ameanza kula vyakula vigumu, basi mpe vyakula vyenye ufumwele kuliko vyakula vyenye wanga, kama vile tumia unga wa shayiri au tunda la apple na pea lililopondwa pondwa vyema na kuwa kama uji. Epuka kumpa mtoto cereal ya mchele au uji wa mchele kama anatatizo la kukosa choo au kufunga choo.

      4. Jiepushe kumpa mtoto wako vyakula vyenye wanga na sukari na vyakula vinavyotengenezwa kwa unga uliokobolewa.

      5. Mpake mwanao mafuta kidogo sehemu inayotoka choo kikubwa ili kurahisisha utokaji wa kinyesi. Usitumia mafuta ya madini (mineral oil) au dawa za kulainisha choo na za kuharishwa katika kutibu tatizo hilo la kukosa choo la mtoto.

      6. Kukosa choo watoto wadogo mara chache huwa kunasababishwa na magonjwa kama vile Hirschsprung ugonjwa wa kumee neva katika utumbo, au Cystic Fibrosis. Muone daktari au mpeleke mtoto wako hospitalini kama tatizo hilo la kukosa choo linaendelea hata baada ya kubadilisha aina ya chakula cha mtoto au linaambatana na dalili nyingine kama vile kutapika au mtoto kukosa utulivu na kuhangaika.

      7. Kuna baadhi ya watoto wanakosa choo au kuwa na choo kigumu kutokana na kutumia maziwa ya ng’ombe. Iwapo umetumia dawa na umefuata maelekezo ya kuondoa ukosefu wa choo na hukufanikiwa. Katisha kumpa mtoto maziwa ya ng’ombe kwa siku mbili au tatu, baada ya siku hizo iwapo bado hajaacha choo badi endelea kumpa maziwa hayo, na pengine tatizo hilo halisababishwi na maziwa ya ng’ombe.

      8. Mwogeshe au mweke mwanao katika beseni la maji ya uvuguvugu na hakikisha maji yanafika hadi kifuani. Mkande mtoto tumbo lake wakati akiwa majini na njia hiyo husaidia kulegeza misuli ya mwili wa mtoto, na kumsaidia kupata chook wa urahisi.

      NB: Ukosefu wa choo kwa watu wazima baadhi ya wakati huandamana na magonjwa kama vile Arthritis, Appendicitis, Cataract, saratani, shinikizo la damu, Rheumatism na kadhalika lakini kwa watoto huenda tatizo hilo likawa halisababishwi na maradhi hayo.

      Utafiti unaonyesha kuwa hakuna uhusiano wowote kuhusu kukosa choo mtoto na kupewa nyongeza ya chuma au Iron Supplement. Hivyo usimkatishe kumpa mwanao chuma iwapo anakosa choo. Kwani chum ni muhimu sana katika kuzuia upungufu wa damu mwilini kwa mtoto wako mdogo.

      Daktari atakueleza ufanye nini. Tatizo ni maji tu. Kunywa maji ya kutosha kusaidia peristalisis. Ukikaa muda mrefu sana,hii pia inaongeza constipation. Kama kazi yako ni kazi katika desk,basi uwe mwangalifu,na ufahamu unahitaji kufanya marekebisho baadaye.

      Usinywe uji wa aina yoyote. Sijui kwa nini hyo mtu anakushari kunywa uji. Hiyo itakuongezea tu constipation. Kunywa ukwaju,hii ni bitter drink. Ukwaju,ndimu,limau,vitu kama hivi vitasaidia vipi? Labda kama short-term solution,unatumia hii acidic diet kusaidia digestion.

      Kula vyakula laini,kama ugali lazima upikwe kiaina,uwe laini. Kama ukienda South Africa,utaona katika magenge yao ya chakula wanapika ugali laini kuliko wanavyopika hapa Tanzania.

      You must be alert. Kama unaanza kuona dalili za constipation,nenda kafanye jogging. Kwa sababu ukichelewa sana,it may be too late.

      Hiyo ni Constipation ndugu yangu.
      Kikubwa ni kuwa unahitaji chakula chenye "dietary fibers" kama vila Dona, mboga za majani na matunda. Fanya utaratibu wa kupata matunda na mboga za majani kila siku pamoja na kunywa maji mengi. Punguza kula nyama na badala yake pendelea protein za kutoka kwenye mimea kama vile soya, mbaazi, maharage, choroko, njegere. Jaribu hivi kwa muda wa wiki mbili, utaanza kuona mabadiliko chanya. Kama hutapata mabadiliko, basi, constipation yako inahitaji utalaam zaidi.

      Pole sana ndg yangu hata mimi nimejifunza mengi sana humu kwani hata kama sijui sasa nimejifunza na nitajitahizi......

      Tatizo lako kweli ni hatari na linawakumba wengi sana. Mimi mwenyewe sipendi kabisa kunywa maji naweza kaa hata siku 3 bila kunywa maji na kuhusu mboga za majani ndio sipendi kabisa hivyo kabla sijaingia katika dozi hizo bora nianze kuepukana na hatari hiyo.

      I feel like Zitto Kabwe: nimepewa sumu ya chakula.

      Nina kichefuchefu usiku mzima na nina incontinence lakini asubuhi nina mkutano muhimu, siwezi kuacha kuhudhuria na siwezi kwenda kuachia matapishi ghafla kwenye business roundtable.


      Ni kitu gani naweza kunywa/kula kikaondoa kichefuchefu na kutapika?

      Kwanza kabisa, tungependa kujua jinsia yako. Pili, kichwa cha habari ni constipation ambayo kitaalamu ni matatizo yanayotokana na choo,ima kuwa kigumu au kutopata kwa wakati mwafaka. Incontinence ni tatizo linalohusu njia ya mkojo, mfano mtu akiwa hapati mkojo kwa flow ya kawaida hiyo ndiyo maana yake. Kwa ufupi ukisema constipation unamaanisha matatizo ya choo, na unapotaja incontinence una maanisha matatizo ya mkojo(urine incontinence).
      Kama una constipation nakushauri upate vyakula vyenye fiber nyingi kama nyama, ule matunda kama mapapai, ndizi mbivu n.k. Kama utakula chungwa basi ule na ''nyama'' zake ili zisaidie kama source ya fibers. Usisahau kunywa maji mara kwa mara na epuka vitu kama mikate mikavu isiyo na siagi.
      Kichefu chefu ni dalili ya tatizo na si ugonjwa, kinaweza kuwa kimesababishwa na chakula na kwa akina mama hormonal changes. Vinginevyo maelezo yako hayajatupa nafasi ya kukusaidia zaidi kwasababu yanajichanganya.
